Correct sir. The cheap-o XXR's are just temp wheels to get the car sitting pretty while I tie up some other odds and ends (roll bar, under hood goodies and beefier brakes), and once I do that i'll begin saving for the custom J-Line's. Eventually I will be getting some green chrome J-Line 6SL2's measuring 16"x8" +0 in the front and 16"x9" +13 in the rear.

Update as of 8/7/2010

Well StanceWorks, I think it's about time for an update. My two jobs have kept me super busy, so I haven't even driven the Miata much lately let alone do anything modification wise.

But here is what i've been doing/acquiring in my spare time.

Track Dog front splitter (installing on Sunday)



Got all four fenders rolled this afternoon. Dude did an awesome job!



And i'm not sure if I shared the pictures of my new wheels/tires, but just in case I didn't here ya go. 16"x8 +20 XXR 521's w/ 205/40/16 Falken Ziex ZE-512's. I'll be pairing these up with a set of 20mm Ichiba spacers.





Just waiting on my spacers/extended studs to come in and then everything else is going on! I'll definitely provide pics of the finished product.

My cheap-o wheels have arrived!

I think they're gonna look great with the color of my car, and @ $104 a piece and weighing in at 16lbs a piece, I think they were a pretty decent investment.

Aren't those wheels stock? I highly doubt any fender work is necessary with stock wheels.

What wheels? The wheels in the picture? Yeah those are the stock Racing Hart/Mazdaspeed 17"s. They're 17"x7" +ALOT w/ 205/40/17 tires. But I don't plan on slamming it on the stock wheels. For now I just enjoy tossing the car around on the weekend without having to worry about ripping the bottom of it off....lol. Plus I have my annual family vacation coming up in July, which is about 450 miles each way, and I promised my parents I would let them see the car in person BEFORE I change it up. I'm just gonna wait until I get the rest of the stuff I need (at this point that's only tires, spacers & hub centric rings) and then put it all on at once. And I will definitely need a roll/removed liners to run the 16"x8" +0. Doesn't sound too extreme I know......but i've been talking with all the stance veterans over on ClubRoadster.net and they seem to know what they are talking about.

Don't worry my friend. It'll be sitting correctly come August or my name isn't OSSHWA!

18 days and you still havent installed the coils?

Fenders aren't rolled. Fender liners haven't been pulled yet. And i'm still on the donk status 17"s at the moment.

Yes, I ordered the coilovers first, but I still gotta prep the rest of the car before installing them. I'm waiting to do everything all in one full swoop. Patience is key here.......lol.
