Did more painting / prep today. Still haven't wet sanded anything. Trying to get everything ready to be wet sanded then bang it all out at once to prevent finishes from dulling etc. between the time I do each panel.
Tire came in today, if they're cooperate I should have this bucket out of the garage by Tuesday.
Did a front strut bar thing. Have to install the rear as well, but don't know where to attack my rear interior panels.
Scored a set of 1999-2000 Civic Si/SiR/EM1 (depending where you're from) front seats off a buddy. Fit nicely in place and have sweet headrests and lumbar adjustment.
Got the gas door and mirrors cleared. Super orange-peel-ly for now, but that will change with the wet sanding etc.
Lastly, got my 99/00 all clear headlights in. Absolutely love them. (warning super potato pic)
The shell is fucked honestly, bent steering column from being stolen, quarters are bad, floor is pretty bad. Front subframe is quite rotten. I'll likely just drag this thing to absolute piss and when it finally falls apart just score another 92-00 Civic / 94-01 Integra and swap everything over like it's no thang.
Ohhh okay I get what you mean now, I thought you were just going to give up on it haha.
Well hey, not caring means the fitment and height will be amazing
wait so did you literally do a ton of work for like three weeks and then just go
nah not feeling it
??????

Losing interest in the car already, selling off the replacement quarter panels. The undercarriage is pretty rotted and I don't care to invest that kind of time into this shell. Also partially disinterested in the paint. Regardless, I scored a grille from a sedan (looks the best imho, can't stand those shit mesh grilles).
Made painting progress today as per usual. One fender has been curing for just about 48 hrs so I'll be able to wet sand and polish tomorrow to see what the final outcome of the entire car is going to be (one can hope). Other than that, appreciate the kind words; hoping this turns out as well as I'm planning.
No money to have it done any other way lol. I would be ashamed to say someone aside from myself or good buddies had to modify my personal vehicle.
I've begun the painting process, going with Rustoleum "Smoke Gray," it's a pretty subtle color that has a great shine. Doing a simplistic rattle can job with a 1000 grit wet sand and a cut / buff. Should look pretty damn good.
