Did a dun deal today. Grabbed an Si cluster for super cheap because it had no fuel needle (D16's will get 250-350 miles per tank) so I figured meh, this is my 4th one, I can guess when it's going to run out of gas. Turns out the temp gauge is also busted and only reads at max overheat, hahaha. I wish I was concrned. Made a good bit of progress on the body today as well. I also drove it 20,000 miles today.
I believe the B16 (wouldn't even consider it, would just go B18c1 for the price) is the same height as the D series, but once you get up into the b18 and b20 the pan physically sits lower. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is how it goes.
As a former Hondafag (okay I still like them), generally speaking, all B series motors have the same basic block. But the B16 was always the oddball, so the only thing to do is measure both blocks.
But you'd better go B series and boost it.
Threw my buddy's VW Fox steelies on to get it into the yard. Instantly began thunderstorming and hailing. Masked off as many things as I could and tossed the hood on it, lol. Storm was so crazy it blew one of my skirts off its drying spot (it was dry). Keep in mind, NO drop forks in the front yet (2" more drop (which is only happening if I lower the ground itself into the earth)).

dude since like you don't care about this thing, you should bedline the exterior. and put an ebay turbo on it. like just cuz.
The paint is really close to being done. Only thing left is the unibody, doors, and hatch. Tires should be mounted by tomorrow (assuming my home slice can get dat stretchy done a$ap on fleek), and I'll be airing it up and down withOUT drop forks Those are shipping this week.
This single cam burns a good bit of oil, and with its not-clutch it's difficult to beat the bag out of it, but I manage. A lot of 7,200 (limiter) and smoke ensues. I would absolutely boost it untuned with nothing but a fuel pressure regulator for "management", I'll keep my eyes peeled for a shitty kit locally.
Picked up a "duck bill" wing, it's just much lighter, no 3rd brake light, no sprayer nozzle, and it's "longer" in regard to overhang (over the rear glass).
