  • coming along nicely. spent about an hour solo mocking everything up and coming up with a parts list. all I need to finish boost is:

    - oil pickup from the block to the turbo
    - some piping from the throttle body to IC piping
    - tap the pan for the return
    - hang the intercooler properly
    - turbo to manifold gasket

    • Excuse phone quality photos hahaha oh my goodness gracious my phone camera sucks

been did some work on this here fine automobile this week (drop spindles install, drop fork install, swapped from 10" to 6" springs, shortened oil pan install, blast pipe install, other misc.)

butttt here's what I have to update in regard to my build lol.

tapped my pan tonight as well, got that all buttoned up. got a schweeet Saab oil cooler that I'm debating on running at the moment, began hacking into my downpipe to make it an up-pipe (exhaust and waste gate are both going out the hood fuck you mean)

ill try to take more pics in near future lol

Including a chipped p28 and everything so far, under 400 bucks.

Turns out my new set of spindles are off of an EX Civic so now I need to do a caliper, rotor, and pad upgrade. Yay

            • Damn....I gotta be like 1.5k deep but I got a holset turbo and that means expensive and custom -12an drain and a big ass drain flange lol but I'm shooting for 300 to 350whp

If I make 200 wheel I'll be thrilled. I care way more about other parts of the car to ball out on boost. I'm just going to be running on a basemap and stock injectors haha.

                  • Are you going to be running Crome on the P28? I would definitely invest in some DSM injectors; I think you're going to max out those stock injectors quickly (if they're Y8 and quicker if they're Y7). I totally understand power isn't your priority but you got the stage 2 clutch already, might as well make that 200hp goal

Btw, awesome build. I love your hatch and the craziness

Yeah man, it's a chipped p28 with a basemap for my setup, fuel and timing maps have been richened and retarded I'd imagine. They're just stock injectors. From what I understand y7 and y8 injectors are the same. I can easily source some y8 injectors if need be if you think they're larger, but my research has come up mixed.

                      • Got my momo-wiper all situated, got my front flares mounted. Have GIVEN UP on paint. Half the car is chalkboard paint, I've started intentionally rusting parts of it, it's a mess. I got a new front bumper and have been doing little things here and there. Mocked up the front with my flares and ran into a small issue ....

                        i need some gat-daym spacerzzzzz

Front goes quite low now, much lower than last year. It's going to clap out flat tucking on all 4 corners which I'm super pumped about. Updates as they come.

                              • If I can remember correctly you can mix vinegar and water and spray it on bare metal to help it rust. Grind/sand the metal to a clean bare surface and use a spray bottle and just cover it.
