I would go B series but my pan will just smack the ground before the chassis does, and that's stupid.

Actually I think B series sit at the same height as d series. Its the K series that sits super low down if I remember correctly

I believe the B16 (wouldn't even consider it, would just go B18c1 for the price) is the same height as the D series, but once you get up into the b18 and b20 the pan physically sits lower. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is how it goes.

Picked up a 99-00 D16y8 head today with IM, TB, injectors etc. for the whopping price of 10$.

Threw my buddy's VW Fox steelies on to get it into the yard. Instantly began thunderstorming and hailing. Masked off as many things as I could and tossed the hood on it, lol. Storm was so crazy it blew one of my skirts off its drying spot (it was dry). Keep in mind, NO drop forks in the front yet (2" more drop (which is only happening if I lower the ground itself into the earth)).

Yoooo another hatch build! You have to make this one insaner than the first.
                  Good progress so far.

As a former Hondafag (okay I still like them), generally speaking, all B series motors have the same basic block. But the B16 was always the oddball, so the only thing to do is measure both blocks.
But you'd better go B series and boost it.

Did a dun deal today. Grabbed an Si cluster for super cheap because it had no fuel needle (D16's will get 250-350 miles per tank) so I figured meh, this is my 4th one, I can guess when it's going to run out of gas. Turns out the temp gauge is also busted and only reads at max overheat, hahaha. I wish I was concrned. Made a good bit of progress on the body today as well. I also drove it 20,000 miles today.

Did the swap in record time. 5 minutes.

A lot of progress today. Passengers side, hatch, roof, and hood all got their first coat! Should be cruising by Monday. My buddy who does the tire hook up has been super busy so no Enkeis for a bit, but meh. I'm super happy with how it's coming out thus far considering ZERO wet sanding or waxing. Front bumper is a bit of a suprise (it was free and junky so don't tweak). Also, yes, I painted my key hole on the passengers door lol. I'm switching to an EK sedan rear door handle to shave the stupid lock hole that NEVER gets used anyhow.

Grille is also done, but I forgot to snag pictures of that.

Also also.. everything is just set on, no bolts.
