So guess I'll start one of these so I can have somewhere to post, besides instagram, my updates on Helga, my 2004 B6 A4 avant.

Little info on the car.
I bought it from Boston and had it shipped down to sunny south Florida. BIG mistake. I had no idea how badly this things underneath was salt damaged. Rusty bolts and control arms and rear subframe, the lot.
So I got to work and starting replacing the pieces of the car, bit by bit. The car is on full airlift performance bags and when I got Helga onto jack stands to do the suspension build, I literally started tearing everything off and replacing it with brand new OEM or better parts. Bolts, nuts, lines, etc that needed to be done.
This build page is kinda coming up through months of already loads of work on the car. I usually just post on Instagram under
#thatpalesguyswagonbuild
Where you can see all the progress of Helga from day 1.
So I will start this from where I stand now with the car. And that's with these:

They used to be fully polished:

Huge shoutout to Stefan at SDWheels for doing an amazing job on the wheels.
Got bored last night and did a quick test fit:

The specs are 18x10 et22 all around, BUT due to my S5 brakes, the hardware didn't clear, so I put in an 8mm spacer, dropping it to et14 and to balance it out I'm going to run a 5mm in the rear. This will mean I need some fender pulling fun done. í*½í¸
The cars going to be going into paint once I get all my new bumpers in. Already have new fenders in to replace the rust damaged ones and currently looking for a new hood to fix the un fixable bend in mine.
We also did this two nights ago:

It is to be replaced with this, rust free, B7 rear subframe with 60k miles (í*½í¸score) and to have all new bushings and rear control arms fitted and fresh, brand new hardware.

The front has already had all new 034 control arms tie rods replaced, the front spindles have been replaced, and air bags installed. (I will get pics of the trunk setup for the air)
Worked on the rear strut mounts. Cleaned and sanded and painted to get the salt off and for future rust prevention. Bringing her up to my florida car standards ^_^

That's it for now and I'll post more updates when goodies come in and Helga gets closer to getting off those jack stands she's been on for a year.
Oh I also used to own this:

So like my past built cars, I always have big plans and hopefully Helga will be just as great as my Miata was and my past mk5 golf.
