This thing is going to be so gnarly.

On a side note I wanted to buy that Miata so bad but budget didn't allow

              Damn, I've been there.

I appreciate the comment guys and thanks. I'm super stoked to see where this goes. I've got ideas flowing all the time for it. Thanks as well for the appreciation of the Miata. I miss it somedays, just not the lack of space lol.

So today I ordered the B6 S4 front bumper from prestige bumpers. Should ship soon, and also ordered all the goodies to complete the S4 bumper (fogs, fog grills, main grills, etc). Now I have to decide if I want to do an S4 rear or stick to my guns and death for the impossible to find, euro TDI rear with no exhaust cut outs. I can't locate it anywhere and when one finally shows up, it's damaged.

                That Pale Guys Wagon

So wow, here's a very long time coming update on this slower then a snail build. Unfortunately it's just so much needed to be replaced and re done correctly, that meant waiting for funds to come in over time to afford all the nice new bits from Audi. So, here's a little update.

The whole rear subframe has been completely finished, re built and installed in the car. The rear lower control arms that I tried to re finish and wire wheel and have new bushings pressed in, well, that never happened. Every time we tried pressing in the bushings, they snapped around the edges.

So, I decided to pony up the $500 (FML) and order new whole units from Germany. Apparently Audi won't even press the units in, they just replace the whole thing like I did.

Once everything was put back together, it was time to put the new rear subframe into Helga and get her 1 step closer to getting off the jack stands.

Once we got the rear sub frame in, installed the AWE exhaust and the evolution racewerks test pipe. Also cleaned the engine bay up a bit with a little powder coat and R8 goodies. The basic bitch way.

My roomie Niko lending a hand. He's building his turbo e30 in the other spot of the garage. Waiting for that build to come alive soon.

After everything was tightened up and fresh oil added to the engine (been sitting for over 8-9 months) we started her up and bleed all the new brake lines for the S5 brakes. Next up is the complete re do of the trunk setup for the airride and tidying up the trunk space. Followed by a quick leak down test. Should be fun.

So now came time for the trunk setup. My friend Viet from leveled designs, was gracious enough to come to my house and spent hours building me a very simple, clean and effective trunk setup that I cannot be happier with.

The whole trunk area was a rats nest of wires when we first did the air instal. So Viet went to work and knocked out all the over wiring and cleaned up the main manifold cubby.

^^Simple little schrader valve location neatly tucked away so I can drain or re fill my tank in an emergency

                  And the finished product.

If you are in the south Florida area and need work done on your trunk or any airride setup/needs I highly recommend you contact Biet at leveled designs. He sat at my house for 7 hours making sure everything was perfect and tidy and made sure everything was leak tested and wasn't happy until the wiring looked OEM. Much respect and he can come to you.

Got bored and decided to instal my S4 roof rails. Pretty straight forward. Next is to get it out of the garage and get the power fold mirrors and new fenders, hood and bumpers on and get it ready for the body shop.

Still need to order my inno roof box and either rear s4 bumper or the euro TDI rear. We will see.

And this fool wanted his modeling career to take off so I said I'd help him out. Guess when he's not building e30 race cars he's a pretty sexy bearded Romanian.

Well just got home and tonight was a pretty big deal for me. The car is officially off the jack stands and sitting on its own. Tomorrow I will play around a bit more with the car and then get it to my friends shop for a much needed alignment. But right now I can't be happier. It's been up in the air on stands for nearly 2 years. Making sure everything is fixed up, and right. Taking out as many rusted issues as possible and replacing with all new hardware. So stoked.

I know it's nothing exciting, but to me I've been waiting for ever for this.

Thanks man, appreciate it. I learned my lesson about buying anything north of the Carolinas, but I wasn't going to give up on her.

So decided to bring Helga out for some sun today and calibrate the system and wash some of the dust that's accumulated over the past year and half.

Little issue with the rear bag hitting the axel, which airlift said may be a possibility with Quattro models. So going to jack her back up and trim the roll plate a little.
