Got the thing somewhat together today and was able to take it out with the new nose. Cant wait to get all the other bolt-on bits so I can get moving with the paint and bodywork!
Ok, a little update considering I just dropped several G's in misc parts over the past few days.. for all those wondering what direction I'm going to go motor-wise, this build is meant to emody and replicate what you'd see straight out of JPN. SO with that being said, it's only right to run triple Mikuni's. But I decided to spend some extra bucks and take it one step further and found some 100% rebuilt Mikuni 40's and a rebuilt Kyokuto manifold. Anybody can go buy a Z and go find a set of triple Webers and Canon intake, it's cool, but I'm trying to go period and style correct with this. You'll have to wait to see what else I blew my money on when it all comes in.
Yes and no! I guess it depends on which of their Z's we're talking about. There are several Z's that I've seen in the states that are running a g nose and maybe 2 running Arita speed type flares. And neither of those cars are true to the actual JDM s30's, they all have some sort of American twist, which is cool. But I want to build something that will make you unsure of which country you're in and something that you will think is photoshopped to have CA plates on it.
Lol. I saw this car posted in the SF Bay Area Craigslist, I really wanted it :/ but didn't have enough funds at the moment. Glad to see it went to someone who will take care of it
