Alright kids, this is my first actual build thread. Just picked up a 72 240z and the plan is to blow some minds and build my vision of how a Z should be built. If you don't like what I'm doing with my time, money, and car, sorry not sorry. This is scheduled to be a pretty fast-paced build and I'm aiming to have it finished within about 4 months while daily driving the clunker. Here are the only photos I have at the moment, hold tight.

90% of the purists would tell you to do a l28 3.0 stroker with triple side draft carbs with some mad tyte jdm 432 inspired exterior with some 15" panasports.

Is it something along those lines, or is it something completely different?

Was hoping this was gonna be one of those builds that are old and get bumped for an update so the car is already finished, was pretty disappointed when I saw you uploaded this yesterday haha. In for the build man! Good luck.

why do you always buy z's that only look good from one angle?

haha, stoked to see what you have planned

So far, it does have a relatively stock L28 with SU's with SM needles. The carb situation is going to change in a few weeks when I get my delivery from Japan though! Other than that, it's going to be a totally different direction than most Z's. Atleast totally different than most Z's on this side of the planet..

First update: Just got back from a 10 hour round-trip journey to pick up the first piece to my puzzle.. Scored a 2 piece G nose with hood hinges from out in Vegas. Tomorrow, I'll play around with paint and hopefully mocking it up before going into work.

And for those unfamiliar with the G nose, here's an example..

Still messing with paint, but I got anxious and had to mock it up to see a sneak peek at how it's coming along and testing the fit. Not bad for the first test fit, it'll need some tweaking to be perfect, but nothing too tough.

I'm intrigued about the direction you're going with for the engine. Please tell me you're going with a 4 rotor.
