It is true. Sad but true. Never mind thoughOriginally posted by emanuelparedes View PostCouldn't agree more!
I see all your updates, and love all of them!
But you're on StanceWorks, and your car is not a BMW E30 or something like that, so nobody participates here. Sad, but true.
Greetings from Portugal, and keep up with the good work

Removed some OEM stripes

Took the golf out for a spin

And then saw old photos of my other Audi, and though hmmm nice wheels

So I thought let's make a fitment test

Out with the oem one

Threw them on for good measurement

I love it

Now as for the test-fitment.
These wheels are 9,5x18 ET38 . I could not bolt them down to put car to the ground due to 5x112 vs 5x100 different bolt pattern.
Thing is, that in order to have the concave I need to go for the same sizes again.
BUT, the wheel, on the inner side, does not clear the shock absorber, nor the caliper.
So I guess if I am to go for it, I might have to go with a 5mm spacer in order to make it work.
And then, surely go for a fender roller in order to pull fenders properly. I dont mind the car being new, I want it to make happen, and I believe I can
Any feedback, welcome as always
Cheers
Mike

So, I dont recall if I had told you about it, but I kinda ordered a new front grill for my AUD1ESEL project. An aftermarket "RS1" grill in gloss black from Germany, which arrived some days before.

Definitely not cheap, but quality was super good to be honest.
Lost no time, and decided to go for it on my own, after work

Bumper came off, dont mind the headlight, i thought it needed to be removed, whereas it didnt. Although there is a DIY online, I wanted to go for it on my own, weird right

Sit back and enjoy

Two grilles side by side - and the usual aftermath of garage work, lol

OEM grille removed

New Grille on

Thought the Oem crashbar would look ugly in silver behind the grille, so I removed it. Dont worry just to paint it.

Done

ReInstalled

Installed everything back on - minus the Audi rings which were smaller in the A1 and did not fit

I then got a new Audi badge from dealership, which is slightly bigger, and comes from the A6-A7-A8-RS6-RS7 etc.

It was then ready

The grille also had the mounting thing for the license plate - but look at it

So I thought I'd make a vinyl plate, to go right here

So I did

Looks really good now, and legal-ish LoL

Sorry for the iphone pics - but I didnt have my camera with me at the time
Cheers

As for wheels,
I cannot make a decision if i will go with 18 or stay 17 inch to be honest
if 17, it will be 9x17 stretched on my 215/45/17
If 18, it will propably be 9,5x18 ET38 or 8,5x18 ET30 on 215/35/18.
Really cant make up my mind. LoL

So here is a big update for the little AUD1ESEL
Came to the garage one day to find one seat missing . . .

Then this happened

Out of nowhere

Dont worry, I was just checking something

Hmmmm

LoL on the Golf

Then changed back everything the way it was
Next to this, i still prefer mine

Then, let's move to the interior
I like how these climate controls look

This does not suit them

New boxes from stealership

Yummy parts

Let's remove the stock one

Out

in it went

porn

Tools needed

Turned out great

More to come, to bring you up to date
Cheers

To be honest, I have always wanted to put that wheel in one of the cars that I have owned so far.
Same with the A1. But I think that it is a style that will very fast be boring for me.
What is more, I simply cannot justify the money Rotiform asks for their wheels nowadays.
If I am to spend that money, and most of the times I do, i prefer other companies, like OZ, like BBS etc
Dont get me wrong, I like Roti designs, but to me they are nowhere near Rays, OZ, BBS, Adv1 so as to ask for the money they ask.
