omg an update....

hey guys, its mark again who else. its been quite awhile since an update and i have to admit ive been having way too much fun messing with my shitbox ef and hoarding car parts for future builds

the hoarding just includes buying more wheels, 2 sets of coilovers, springs, and what not for future hondas to ruin.

but i did make major progress towards the eg hatch.

the thing i was waiting on was parts but that changed bc

I finally received my swift springs ive been wishing for and promising to purchase for months now.

i decided on going with 6 inch springs 22k for the rears and 18k for the front. ya know to complete eliminate shock travel while giving me the fantastic ability to go closer to the ground

this next pic is before i slapped that new suspension stuff on but i needed to make a point.

the tool finally removed the roof rack for the much needed cleaner look!

i must admit many many people on this form wanted it gone.. so i decided to take it off for shits and giggles and it actually makes this car far more cleaner

i basically adjusted everything to where the whole car would be lowered by an inch and a half all around.

just to start with and make sure it still driveable

heres the clearance of the oil pan. about 1.75 inches from the ground or 2 fingers worth



might have to take off the tie bar in the future to go lower in the back sigh

yes i also got that new wing/spoiler but only because instagram told me to do it sadly...

i also kinda like it

but for the future i now must work on
1. installing my street sign skid plate to protect my precious oil pan
2. tuck my exhaust because it drags on the ground already
3. maybe consider getting someone to raise my engine

like these guys did it





if only i actually had car friends in my area lol

i also thank everyone who actually reads my builds. i know the beginning of this build is all over the place and people call me rachet but hey why not. a few people have actually found me on instagram and ask me questions and for advice. its cool being able to talk about cars with people since i have no car friends.

and i didnt forget... im going to paint that rear faded lip its on my list of things to do currently

x2 on painting rear valence also would love to see it roll without the basket. the baskets cut off in one of your pictures and it just looks so much better imo

Those fender flares really cleaned up the car, personally I would probably paint the rear valence matte black as the plastic looks a bit faded. Any plans to rewrap the hood? If you get someone to help you it will make it a lot easier.

Updates

Hey guys, its been a while. ive been working, cutting things, and trying to go lower but i keep getting distracted.

Last time i updated this post i installed my drop forks. Yes they are in and yes they dropped the car a nice two inches lower in the front

Cars front went lower and then i couldn't turn because there was rubbing.

Not from the flairs but from the frame in the wheel wheels. dont have pics but i just cut them/notched them for more turning radius. boom

cars pretty low/sexy but i need more lows



On my list of parts to buy in the future are power 326 springs for the rear. probably gonna go with 20k springs to eliminate all shock travel.

I do still have to install my extended tops hats, jdm rear speakers, and still wanna lower it all around another 2 inches.

ive just been side tracked because i bought an ef hatch stock and stanced after owning it a week. It has its own build thread on here



Got less then $1000 into it so i cant complain and its a fun little beater

Also have been buying parts/wheels like always

picked up a set of staggered miro stpg1 16x7.5 16x9.5 for $250. one wheel had a huge bend and the previous owner blew a tire because he was driving on them.



took a hammer and a torch, fixed the rim below



wheels sell for $1200 on vortex because they are discontinued so thats a good steal.

Same guy sold me these brand new emusa one piece coilovers for Da, ef, crx & universal ebay coil set for $150. that alone is another steal so from a single honda owner in my area my collection has grown quite a bit for basically no monies.



havent decided if im gonna slap them on my ef or if this is a sign to buy another crx since suspension and wheels are covered.

but yes ill get back once i get the ball rolling and slap news parts on my eg hatch! thanks for reading

I plan on tucking the wheels, its just a work in progress. these wheels are extremely wide so its not all that easy

Long time no see! Update

Sup guys marj here, havent posted anything in a long time so i'll give you a quick run down of what happened

CRX.... fixed it drove it and then blew a hole in the block. sold
My beater lx sedan.... got stolen today actually



I'm gonna miss it.... i dont think the police are gonna have any luck finding it. and if they do its gonna be in shambles. I had less then $1000 into that car !

on a positive these came in the mail today.



2 more inches of low to come. Drop Forks < win


and my eg hatch. ive mostly just been enjoying it reallly









I know in the near future i'm gonna invest in some custome 16k springs for my rear to eliminate all shock travel bc i still want the rear to go way lower. but as it sits now its bouncing and rubbing. i already found them for $150 from swift and #326Power. Also onna make a skid plate out of a street sign my buddy donated to me
