I have a deadline of my own to work to with this project. I'd do it all this winter, but then who would care about the Mercedes I'm building if I put this out there at the same time lol The planned completion date is either November 2015 or May 2016, but there will be a lot to show during the build from now until then.Originally posted by SliPsY View PostMan I hope this isn't one of those builds that will need like 5 years to get the car finished, I always find these builds when they are already finished, but I guess I'm out of luck with this one :P
Cheers bro.

Any old British aero engine? Ofcourse the Merlin or even the Griffon would be... ''Ideal'' but just aero engines in general would be epic.Originally posted by dineno View PostBelieve me, I already tried looking for one of those lol If it were more obtainable it'd be the first option on my list

This ^^^Originally posted by Red_Arrowheads View PostAs for engine choices, maybe something of some sort of vintage, older than say, 1965. It'll play well with the theme you're after.
You could try any of the older GM engines (such as the stovebolt I6's) or maybe even a GMC 702ci "Thunder" V12, which sounds awesome.
There's plenty of really cool and unique vintage engines. Many of which have a fairly strong aftermarket, and forums full of experts who could answer any questions you have.
I'll sell you my I6 out of my 48 chevy... That could be a cool power plant. It'll need a serious rebuild though.

How about the toyota 1gzfe with itb's? 310hp, torque for days, and its a v12. Due to the design of the intake manifold you could run quad throttle bodies using the lower intake manifold. or bin that and run 12 itbs.
