I think Rat Royce still has the best ring to it, but being that it's more hot rod styled I definitely need to find the proper name for it.
Anyways, I had some legal issues with the deadbeat seller that was holding up me picking up the car, but all of thats fixed now so I'll either be taking the trip up to NY this weekend or Tuesday of next week. I'm getting extremely anxious to get this thing in my shop and just stare at it for hours.

Love it, especially the fact in one way or another you are still saving the beast from the graveyard.
More updates required!!

Build it however you like, it'll still be better off drivable and taken care of than sitting to rot
But intentional patina is stupid, at least on painted panels. Plated surfaces...eh. I won't be spending the money so I have no say lol. All I know is coming from the air-cooled vw scene, patina gets old real quick unless it's real.
I agree with one of the previous posts, that rendering gives you a "hot rod" styled car without forcing it into the rat rod category. I think it'll look great!

So do you have any pictures of the actual car? I'd like to see where this is starting from

I was thinking a bare brushed hood with brass and black. For the black I'm split: gloss black is obviously sick, but a patina is unique and could look great. Maybe a compromise and two-tone of sorts. Gloss black sides black patina top and brushed hood. Or patina sides with gloss top and brushed hood. What ever you go with I'm sure will be amazing.
Those RS look awesome but would need to be built as like 24" to match the render. Can't wait to see the progress on this. We need more pics!
I don't plan on actually running RS' but if I did they would be 16-18" with a meaty white wall
