Project Rat Royce - '34 Rolls Royce

I think Jag V12 is your best bet. More parts available and not so extraordinary prices for regular maintenance. And they look brilliant

I need to take measurements to day to see what would fit in the car as is. The space isn't insane, but then again there's always the opportunity for overflow on the side and through the hood.

Theres a car that comes to Santa Pod Raceway with a Merlin engine, and to be honest, I was so excited about seeing it run.
When it did, it was a MASSIVE anti-climax!!!
But awesome work so far, and I am looking forward to seeing where this goes.
Though I was hoping for a Cruella-de-Ville Roller haha

I wish that the early Rolls Royce aircraft engines were more obtainable. Otherwise that'd be my first choice.
In other news I have a local place that does coachwork and full restorations on these pre-war rolls royce's coming to look at the car and quote me on having the body rebuilt. I found the schematics on the frame as well so my welder should be ready to go soon on that. I'm probably going to box the frame too for added support for whichever powertrain/drivetrain I end up going with.

Funny, rat rod v8 is sick most of the time, but that's not enough for a rat royce... Needs moar classy swap.
Thing needs to just drip class somehow. Like on rat rods around my area the monster/beer cans for rad catch cans, this needs a really expensive burbon or something instead.
Wow that frame's toast! If it was mine I'd probably go buy some 2x6 rectangular tube and start over... Or grab some hot rod frame rails from speedway motors or something...
