my car should be pretty much up and rolling by Friday. Just finishing up some last minute details.

Gonna try to run this plate once I get it insured, and then I found this frame at a swap for a few bucks. Pretty odd says just do it but has no Nike insignia on it at all. scored the license plate topper at a garage sale a few weeks ago as well.

was also thinking about the time my buddy let me drive his old 63 bagged squareback to a show in woodburn or. that was fun.

loaded up for the show with his square and his 67 camper with allstate single wheel in tow.

On the way back from the show I was driving at about 40 down some main roads and there was an entire family walking down the sidewalk and I aired the square out and needless to say it started throwing sparks and making alot of noise and it scared the whole family half to death. The mom looked like she nearly had a heart attack. It was funny but i felt kind of bad at the same time.

also a few nights ago I helped my buddy get this video shot of his 92 legacy SS. Owner of the car is Robert Paige and it was filmed and edited by Cody Murphy. You can even see me in the background at about 1:15. haha

This is really awesome! great pictures also. I love the garage shots with just so many bugs, that's amazing.
Now I'm not trying to be a dick, but I just want to say that this is not true:

Sorry man, but that happens a lot, my U.S. friends are like "oh, I've learned a german word" or "oh this and that is german" and I'm just like, nope...

Gretchen is a nick name for Margarete.

Like I said, I don't mean to piss you off, so sorry again. Keep up this great build!

Been pretty busy getting all the wiring worked out and messing with all the small details on the car.
                    (My bible lately)

Also got these extended trailing arms being made for me by Chase Hill (cage66) which will help center the front wheels and get them off my buckets. Ive also heard they make a nicer ride.

and also a couple of videos and yes, I know the videos are crap! haha

                    First test drive

And a working original AM sapphire radio that is original to this car.

got a couple decent pictures of it. Putting it on the road for the first time tomorrow and cleaned it up today and cleaned all the chrome with 0000 steel wool.

Had an awesome time cruising around and the car ran absolutely great which I was stoked about. got some short rolling clips that I might try to upload later as well.

dunno how I missed this one, looks awesome. I feel your pain on that window trim, some of the chrome on my rear came out a little before I could catch it and was so mad after I got the window in.

                              Well done sir!

VW families are awesome and you have a good one there!

My buddy and I are picking up a 61 tonight that is same colour of yours! But that wont surface on here until the 57 Oval is done.

                              keep it up!

Heres some videos that i got from the first day. a little roller and one from inside the video scraping around. crappy quality due to iphone filming. would like to get a gopro or something to make better videos but these work for now I guess.
