        thanks!

Here's a few more pictures of it. and if you guys like I can continue with all the pictures of how it got to where its at.

I like this little collage I made and you can also see the Oregon State University parking sticker from 1970 on there. and my OG rear vent trim. Rare to see a full complete set of those.

I was adjusting the clutch in this picture.

Think I might have found a lead on a beige front fender with a pretty close patina which I would be stoked about!

But 70s bugs are stylish with their enormous tail lights, bumper shocks, and a bumper that weighs as much as a small child!

thanks! I did all the prep work but my buddy Scott is the one who actually did the welding since I'm no good at it and he does it for a living.

Here is the fender I'm gonna pick up for it next month in the fall swap meet in seattle. The guy selling it said he would hold onto it for me. pretty stoked should match pretty good with my car and will be better then the black fender although I do like the contrast of the beige and black.

Here are some engine pictures. When I first got the car almost all the engine tin was stripped off of it and I had to source out a whole bunch of good 40hp tins which was kind of a pain but I found it all and got it all on there.

Check this out original VW factory muffler. you hardly EVER see these super rare and this one is in almost perfect shape. more proof of insanely low mileage car.

someone also painted my aircleaner but I stripped it back to the original paint and it has the warnings still painted onto it.

                        here she is all assembled.

and in the back of my Subaru parts hauler.

getting ready to throw it into place.

And installed and running about 45 minutes later.

Well I put in a new windshield seal but screwed it up and now will have to buy a new one.

Heres when I was cutting out the old one.

                              Old seals make a mess

Got the windsheild all the way out.

                              Original Glass!

Make sure you clean out the drain holes in the channel!

Putting the new trim in the new seal. this is where it got screwed up kinda the trim got bent in the box so we had to bend it to shape and it kind of twisted the chrome a tiny bit so when installing into channel of the car the trim popped out of the seal on the bottom and we cant get it back in. so now were gonna have to cut out the seal and start over,

stick this rope into the seal and pull it through from the inside while pushing on the outside (2 person job) and it will suck the seal into the channel. but like i said we screwed it up so have to start over.

random picture with the window out

and here's me and our buddy's checking out the new pacer wheels we picked up for a baja project. Probably 10" back wheels and 7" fronts.

                              Think it will tuck?

speaking of tuck look at that Ghia wheel tuck on 17s, almost tucking lug nuts.
