Use a wire wheel attachment on the end of a drill. Soft "bristles" if you can find one so it doesn't put scratches and gashes in the barrel. I got mine at a Lowes.

    • So i got bored today and started looking at coverage of Water By the Bridge, and I just happened to be in one of the pictures.

The kid with the long hair on the far left is me, and the guy wearing the hat with the goatee is my dad. Sorry for the useless post, just thought this was cool.

          • Today's purchase:

Side skirts from a late 80s taurus, line right up.

Disclaimer: I did not figure this out on my own, nor do I claim to have figured this out on my own. All credit goes to Mkhayate30 because he is where I got all my inspiration from.

THAT BEING SAID, I hope to eventually get an IS air dam, they are really not very expensive but shipping may be a hefty price. I have also heard that they can be bought from BMW for $310, and i would like to know if this is true or not.

Yeah they fit incredibly well given that they came off a ford and fit to a BMW as far as dimensions go. A bit will have to be trimmed off the end though. And actually when the mock up shot was taken, i didn't have it as high up as it should be, think i might go out and get a better one.

                  • Much better this time.

Still a bit too low in the front, but it was the best i could do with tape. I love the way the bottom line sweeps under toward the front. Reminds me of an e36 skirt.

                    • Love the bodystyle of E28's. Those lips came out as mirrors! And about the rust, that's nothing compared to what we get in the E28's here, I would call that "minor"

Yeah, i was amazed by how well they went on there. Should look great with the e34 bumpers! If you don't mind telling me how you plan on mounting yours i'd really appreciate it

Yeah haha i'll consider myself lucky then. And the lips were heaps of work to get looking that good. It took 3 hours between me and my dad so that is 6 man hours on just one.

                          • Once they are done with the clear coat, I was just planning on putting a couple short screws into the front inside the fender well. Then using that really strong 3M tape down the whole length of the side skirt. That's what i did with my MKV jetta, and the skirts have been on for a couple years now, no problem haha

                              • What model taurus did the skirts come off for? Did you just find them in a junk yard? People tell me this and the volvo lip can be done for under $30.
