Hey guys, i'm really bored and i'm looking for an opinion. I want to create a general plan for what i want to do with my car and i'm not really sure what wheels would be best for me. I'd really like to get a set of style 5s but they are a little hard to find near me and I think i might just buy brand new wheels. I'd really like 17s. Anybody know of a wheel company that makes a classic looking wheel in 17" that doesn't cost me a fortune? I would be all over these if they were made in a 17" option but sadly they aren't.

I know my car is't even low yet but trust me that is to come once i get it working right

Well, after doing some searching, i found that he sectioned the bumpers and made them narrower. Im not sure what all it would take to weld them. hopefully i can get this done eventually

Hey everyone. Yesterday me and my dad decided to drain the bumper shock fluid to tuck the bumper and after we got the bumper (sort of) back on it looked like this.

After looking at it for about a minute I decided that it wasn't quite in far enough and that leads me to something. In short, I want it to look like this:

Now before i perform an act of sin and ask a question on a forum let me explain myself. After searching on my e28 for instructions on how to do that style bumper tuck, i had found a forum topic where someone, after seeing the StanceWorks article on Riley Stair's e28, wanted to do the same sort of tuck in question. With most people on that forum being either purists or close to that, they were quick to shoot the guy down after seeing the StanceWorks logo and began telling him that it was ugly, not worth it, etc. and after reading through it i had found that Riley himself replied to that topic and offered to tell the guy what is involved in doing a bumper lipo of that degree, what modifications needed to be done, etc. NOW.... my question is, does anyone know what is involved in doing a bumper tuck of that degree and does anyone know how i could contact Riley and/or someone else who may have to do it. I am not looking for any criticism i just need to know how hard it is to do this.

Well, the BBSs sold today so i wont be getting them saturday... I suppose i will just be getting the car working right for now. Hopefully i can eventually get coilovers and maybe some quality wheels but i have no idea how long that will be. I suppose this thread is now only in interest of people that love slow, bone stock, ok condition e28s.

When I got my bug, I had just graduated high school. Would've loved to have a car like this when I was still in high school. My car is what made me want a job so I started working at Toyota on Nicholasville and that basically paid for everything on my car. Now I'm in my third year at EKU and all I want is to sell my daily for an E21 or a 4 door E30.

That's what i hope to do. I'm lucky my dad supports me in this as i have no job jet. Once i get the wheels i'm going to have to work on getting it working right before i can get coilovers. But i will probably ask a lot of stupid questions along the way just because i'm a total stance noob haha.

Thanks man haha. Some guy in Danville was moving and didn't want to keep spending the money to haul the car to his next place after doing it several times. That's what i got from it at least. The sad thing was he was going to scrap it if he didn't sell it. But i find it funny that i bought it in the county you live in. And if i'm honest, the white paint and the pictures hide a lot, the drivers side fender is quite rough, the passenger side rear door was severely dented and was repaired, there are two rust spots by the strut towers under the hood, and there is a large bend in the sheet metal under the bumper. but its my first car so i dont mind.

Dude, how'd you find an E28 in that condition for $600 in Central KY haha. I go to school at EKU and live in Lancaster. I need an E28 or E30 as a daily. Welcome to S|W though.

Small update... I hopped on craigslist today just to see what was out there, and found a set of 2 peice style 5s already split apart needing a polish some paint and a rebuild. Hoefully i will be going to pick them up saturday if everything goes according to plan.
