If you go Mk2 beam, how much difference is the track? Are we talking 10mm or something like 20/25mm?

Well figured I would work on the car a little bit tonight since Water By The Bridge is coming up.
But first Roxie and I went for a drive.

Checked on the TH-Lines in there winter home. Still love these 3.5" lips.

I then went into the garage to center the rear beam since it is shifted to the left. I did some measuring and found the beam is pushed 1/4" to the left which explains why when the th-lines are on the left side pokes a lot more. I went to loosen the first both and it snapped. Luckly it came out really easy thanks to a drill bit and a easy out.

After.
The wheels now sit the same which makes me happy. Still searching for a mk2 rear beam and still need to order great plates.

Well that was it for tonight and for the next week, it looks as if the temps are about drop and stay around 20 and lower which mean no garage time for me. Until then I'll just be waiting for warmer days...

Well this evening I figured I would take on moving the battery again. I disliked having it in the spare tire area about a month after I moved it and the wiring looked like dog shit.
I disconnected everything and then moved the battery to the left side of the rear seat area. The battery sat a inch low than the airlift tank so the van floor would not make contact with the battery. I then shortened my battery wiring and rerouted everything to look cleaner. I need to make a better battery hold down and a cover for it as well. After that was done I thought I would make a support for the front section of the floor so it would not be resting the air tank and make more clearance for the battery just to be safe. I just cut some would the and made the support in about 30mins, works like a dream! I then put my full size spare kit back in. When it warms up I'll put one of the Corrado steelies in the back since they are closer to the size of the TH-lines.

Ordered a set of great plates so that should help with the the rears just a bit.
Looks like it's going to start warming up next week so hopefully I can paint the mirror caps and get the car all cleaned up finally.

Started warming up in Indianapolis yesterday & I was not going to wait any longer. I took the car through the automatic carwash one last time to get the underside all cleaned up and then came home and cleaned it up a bit more. I then went into the basement and got the the TH-Lines out of their resting place and took them to the garage and put them on the car. It was the first time seeing the wheels on the car with the car all clean. It is just what I needed as I need some motivation as the car has kind of been bumming me at the last few months.

Great plates will be here sometime next week. We'll see what they do but I'm still in search of a mk2 rear beam to bring the wheels in a bit.

I got a nice message saying my great plates were on their way to my house. They should be here Wed's and I'll take some before and after shots of the install.
