MK3 RHD Panel Van build.

Order new longer black zinc lug bolts for the TH-Lines. I dont really fully trust the current bolts so that should solve that. Also ordered a set of hub rings as well which was much harder than I thought to find. Every place I checked as either sold out of 63.3mm to 57.1mm or did not make that size. Finally found a set on amazon out of everything so those are on the way as well.

Ok small update time.
I got my great plates from Lawrence (L. Fopps) yesterday. I ate some pizza for dinner first then went to the garage and installed the plates. Install was pretty straight forward and took about 45 mins. Hardest part to me is getting the front allen bolts in even with the beam the lowest it would go without putting to much stress on the brakelines but with moved the beam around a bit you get them in. Great high quality product for sure. Looks a lot better imo and glad it fixed my front rubbing issues.

Got my new lugs in. looks way better than the old rusty oem bolts and I feel better about the length as well which makes me feel more safe.



I woke this morning and installed the new bolts and then meet my buddy Andrew at his work to get the car aligned. Pretty easy going thanks to the air ride and the tie-rods did not give any stress as well. Toe up front was way off and the rear was for the most part in good shape. Corrected the front toe and got it all straightened out. Car has -3 degress of camber all around which make me super happy they are all the same. **** the look of negative camber on the rear and non on the rear or the other way around.







Sadly I miss judged how low the car was when pulling off the rack and knocked the right side of my bumper off it's sliders. So went home and got that all taken care of.





Well that is it for now. hopefully the weather will let me clean the car up and clean the engine bay up a bit because it needs it after winter.

Love the mk3, I was going to buy that car almost two years ago from Randy after Red got stolen but it got sold before I could get a flight to FL.


It's looks like I'm going to buy a set of 165/45r16 Achilles for the front as I'm not totally happy with how tall the 195/45r16's sit. Once they are installed I'll most likely add a spacer up front to bring the wheels out a bit so the fronts don't look so snuck compared to the back.

Much appreciated! I'm sure I'll need some help at some point. Mk3's are really my limit for "newer" VW's that I really care for, so to find one this clean and mechanically sound was pretty cool.

Well I can't really afford any parts right now anyway
