Okay its been some time since my last post. The beginning of October I drove 7 hours upto the U.P
I took some pictures visited the GF and made it home with out any problems. I was amazed to say the least.
But two weeks later my wheel bearing went out on my way to work. and being that it was 430am and I was an hour away from home I chose to drive to work and then after work I drove to my dads work to check out how bad it was...
And I always forget to take pictures but it ate my hub. So it sat at my dads work for a month while I searched for a late offset hub.
After being sent the wrong hub twice from ebay I gave up. me and my dad welded up the old hub and cut it back down to size with the lathe. finally I have the car back on the road.
Like most of us im constantly on craigslist looking for parts. I came across this...
But by the time I got there the car was pretty picked over. but I managed to pick up a lot of stuff for my interior. mainly door panels carpet and a momo wheel and hub. I got an entire truck load of parts and only paid $200!!
And ass some of you may have seen I picked up some Borbets and I started polishing them... heres a before and after I think they cleaned up real well
but my brother fell in love with them and wanted them. so I cut him a deal. I made some cash and he gave me his XXRs
so ill be rolling on those until spring when I buy something better (and for when my car sits pretty without my brother on the bumper)
and im VERY disgusted in what I posted before with my "widebody" my welder was beyond messed up and it didn't have a constant wire speed. so I rolled with it and hacked it together because I needed to drive the car since its a daily. so tonight I started to make some templates for a new widebody. THIS TIME I will be using one solid sheet of metal for the face and a second piece for the top. and we fixed my welder so this time it will actually look good.
but anyways here are the templates I made tonight. (sorry about the bad pictures)
And that's all the progress I have had in the last two months!
