Start of something good. Just got this little diddy. Once my truck is sold, the build shall commence. Its all stock...

    EF Civic hatch.....Si. Ohh...... Snap.

Its rough, but it was free. Needs paint, seats, coilovers, wheels, exhaust, clutch, and some useless cool trendy parts.

Never have I had a car that was reliable, cheap and easy to modify. This is just great.

Wish I could find a free Si hatch. Good luck with the build; interested to see what you do with it.

Good score! can't wait to see what you do with it! Any concrete plans yet? GSR swap? Boosted f-series?

Just a drop and cosmetics for now, I am brand new to honda so I honestly have no idea as for swaps and power ideas. Suggestions would be well recieved.

That's awesome. I'd drive that thing every day.
Want some Type C's for it?

What are "type C's" exactly? Because maybe.

Aww man, the possibilities are endless!!! Honda's are good for rev'n high and pushing alot of boost with proper modifications. I guess it depends on how deep your pockets are lol. Used honda motors are CHEAP! and parts for them will make you laugh. Do you wanna boost it or go all motor?

                If boosted:
F-series engines are crazy strong and the heads flow really well stock. Their a single cam set up and like I said throw a turbo on it and do a slight build and you could get upwards of 400 hp to the wheels, If you go all out, forged everything, arp studs, ported head, extreme cam (look at bisimoto) and a custom tune, their are guys pushing 30+ psi making 600+ horsepower.
D-series engines are about the same as F-series
The most "popular" is a H-series swap in cb7's. They are dual over head cam's and are know for making alot of power.
B-series is another popular choice. The B18 is what most people drop in and boost for good streetable power.

all of the above motors can either be v-tec or non also. Just depends on what you want.
Really anything you do is gonna be awesome. If you need info I would look at cb7tuner.com for some good material, or other honda forums. Good luck on your build bro!

Just want to add: All of those motors mentioned are good without boost as well. But as with anything else the higher you go in horsepower, the more money you'll have to spend on fixing weak spots in the motor. sleeving the motor, (3 different types), valves made of different material to handle the heat etc. Not trying to discourage you lol just want you to be aware of everything

For free?? Dang, dude, you're making everybody jealous.

As for engines swaps, B-series are pretty bomb, but you can lower the car farther with a D-series. A B will make power much easier though and, in the long run, greater power.

I prefer the B-series. Good luck!

Hm.... I assume its around 80-85hp now? I think for a daily the most I would want is around 150-175. So, that being said. Cheaper route? Boost current engine or swap a NA engine? I would like to keep it as simple as possible and keep what I have.

As for the "type C's" that thread they are sold. But thanks anyway, Im not sure what wheels I want yet. It will be a little while before I go there.

Swap in a clean B16 and you'll have plenty get up and go for that little hatch haha.
