we decided that the front wheels where poking to far out on the beetle so I had to make a new front bream for it..
this should give 4" of adjustment, and we are placing it so that it starts from stock height.
+ we have 2.5" drop spindles so a total of 7.5" lower than stock should be good
I couldent find any good guides for how to do it so Im trying to figure it out as I go but this cut-off gives a pretty good idea

First I cut out the center anchor out

I cut two Inches out of ether side of the bar, the reason I wanted to do it this way it so end up with as clean a bar as posible when done. this way I wont get any welds on it other than the stock ones.

ended up making some wider sleeves so I wouldn't get in trouble with movement after welding it up

then I placed the inner one of the toothed adjuster plates on the beam and used it to mark where to cut so Id get a straight cut all the way around.
I used the pieces I cut from the sides to make a sleve for the adjuster

thats as far as I got today, working on the bash bar for the 370 as well so progress i slow on the beetle.
Ive got to widen some wheels for it as well, should get that done next week and then its time for paint
