  • 6th Gen Accord Coupe Build

So after my introduction and a bit of waiting, I've decided to make a build thread.

I'll share a bit of background and before/after's.

My first car back in 2010. Famous DEP "paint cancer" (clearcoat flaking off). Other than the horrible paint, this car was very nice. One owner, pristine interior, and all the options. Leather, moonroof, woodgrain, etc.....

My original plan was to drive it, get it painted, and immediately sell it. But after paint, my mod bug kicked in and I've had it ever since.

    Before Paint

After paint: The only things done up to this paint were the fogs and some tailight-tint.

After paint, I really started getting into my car. Just the little things, and it's been a long process, but it slowly coming together.

As soon as the alternator is put in, rear lip is bought, and then exhaust

Well the alternator was installed, now saving for a better drop and exhaust. Literally broke at the moment. Probably should say this will be a SLOW build, both in terms of time and the speed of my car lol.

Also opinions from you guys quick: I've got stock Acura TL wheels, and I've been thinking about a powdercoat. I'm torn between a bronze or a gunmetal, or maybe a white. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

            Goldish/bronze:

            Gunmetal: (Not TL wheels)

            White: (Not TL Wheels)

All cars pictured are my color also.

            Thanks

Definitely not white. It will be a pain to keep clean, and I don't think it looks that great.

                Manual transmision?

Not yet, I have plans for a J32 swap with a 6-speed, but at the moment, it's an autotragic. V6 Accords only came in autos, for a luxury intent lol

JRodigan (Jared) took some pics after a bit of sliding around in the snow. Car looks super high in these pics, probably because it is lol.

                    But anyway :

Looks good! Love TL wheels, I think the white would look good, but as mentioned above, hard to keep clean. What about using Plasti-Dip to see how you like it?

Thanks, and I've got 4 cans of white plasti-dip just sitting in my house. I could try it out
