Car is coming along well, I think a different set of wheels would really set your car off.

Funny you mention it, STM is a local shop close to me. They're always out running around here.

Looking good, makes me miss my 2g awd tsi. Also is steer clear of carbon fiber on these, I almost went that route but we have a local body guy who knows his stuff and he said most don't fit right even after a lot if adjustments, plus that money could go for a different big purchase like wheels or something. Looks very clean so far

Well my end goal was to look something similar to this photo shopped picture I saw a long time ago. It's always stuck to me.

I keep ripping off these damn lips. This is the last photo I have with it alive.

I swear I must have gone through about 4 in two weeks or so.

I ordered a replica lip though. Dyesuperman spoke highly about it so I figured I'd grab that instead of the carbon fiber one to see how long it survives.

A different set of wheels is coming, but I don't know if it'll be anytime soon.

Next couple of things I'm going to do to it are still mechanical. Swap out my cas and cps sensors, as well as trying to get a galant 85 amp alternator I got for cheap to work.

Then we'll see what else I can change up. I'll probably start working on my stock af interior.

Maybe plasti dip the car white for the lolz.

lmao, it's because one of my friends just dipped his car and he has enough left over paint (he went overboard on buying paint) to dip it.

He decided to stay grey even though he bought all the necessary paint to go white.

It'd be something to do this weekend haha.

Quick update! Got the lip on. It's really nice for being an eBay replica of a carbon fiber lip.

I didn't want to scrape it so I installed it on the street lol.

My brothers truck vs my toy car.

And I also installed my whale dick intake piping.

              Close up.

That's all for now. No white plastidip, friend decided to paint his white instead. -.-

I'll get rid of them soon, no worries. They work for now though.

And I looked into the idea of a 4g64 block a while back, but being a shitty fwd, all that added torque really wouldn't help.
I also heard they were more "fragile.", and couldn't rev as high.
I'll trust my fully built 4g63 for now lol.

                  Anyway Turkey Day update.

When I was leaving work, I noticed my gauge light slowly dim. Didn't quite catch it, but here's a picture of my view. I need a new sensor for my boost gauge.

When I got home, I saw my lip beat up. So it had to get some botox.

Still looks cracked, but it's one piece from below.

While I was fixing the lip, my friend showed up. His car is now white plastidip.

On to my light dim problem. I figured it was probably because I relocated my battery to the trunk.

I decided to move it back to the front, but keep it hidden still. I had to make a tray for it.

                  Mocked it up.

                  Finished it up today.

And this is how it fits now. Wired with 0g instead of 4g to the back.

And now, she goes back to the garage. No fender because I'm going to make new grounds tomorrow.

                  Time to eat some turkey.
                  Happy Thanksgiving Guys

That's one weird spot to place a battery. I approve!

PS: I hope you never have to jumpstart the car Or do you have a smart solution for that too?

sucks that the "danger to manifold" joke got bittersweet.

                              sick car tho.

Nice location for the battery, are you putting a cover or something over it to keep like dirt and sand off of it bc from memory the inner fenders have vents in the right behind where that battery is going to be.
