Thanks guys. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to worn out or broken plastic parts. Kind of a slippery slope with this stuff though, I need to find a new front console since it looks old by comparison.

To be honest, so far we have thousands invested in buying original fans and making prototypes of our own that work on RS faces. We underestimated how difficult it'd be to produce these, but we're on the right track to make them available hopefully by the end of this year.

We're not committing to any dates yet, but that's our goal. Pricing will totally depend on any changes we have to make in material choice, but we're on track to release these at about half the cost of vintage fans. It is likely we'll produce these in very limited numbers

Another driver of costs are the graphics applied over top. They're very expensive to make properly, since we don't think a traditional digitally printed vinyl is acceptable in this case.

245/35 would have been a perfect height match to the 215/40 I'm running up front, but they're discontinued in the US. I decided to go with some very oversized 235/40 Dunlops.

I'm actually really glad I decided to go with the meaty tire look. It'll never be a DTM car but I can at least try to reference one.

This is a lot of tire.

Was getting nervous at this point

                Much better.

                Done.

RSs may be played out, but there's a very good reason for that.

What is an alternative to a printed vinyl that is acceptable? Laser etched or machined faces?

Car looks sick on the RS

Sounds like they will be good quality at the end of it then. Good stuff. Half the price sounds good though.
Cant wait to see the car on the rs in the sunlight!

the broken plastic slippery slope is for real...sliding down that one as we speak

RS's are only played out on the interweb's, and i thinnk RS's of this caliber will only contiue to go up in price.

DERe30 is on to somthing with the laser etched mesh pattern on the turbo fans, hoolyyy fukkin awewsome!!!

your car is on it way to perfection sir!

RSs may be played out, but there's a very good reason for that.

I had the same problem with plastics hence why I decided to do a full leather console and the armrest/map pockets. I walked into the dealer because my circuit breaker for the windows looked like garbage and decided to replace all the switches windows, heated seats and breaker and it was over $500.

I also came across the tire problem I ended up with Potenza RE-11s in a square setup 235/40 17 on ACS 17X8.5 et15. I get a little rubbing but nothing as bad as you are seeing on your rear and I haven't rolled my fenders as I suspect you had to do. I wanted to stay a bit more pure in my setup so coilovers and rolled fenders were out I did Bilstein/H&R Sports and ST sways along with Turners weld in subframe reinforcement kit. In retrospect I should have done the H&R Race springs the ride is very compliant and a touch more low would look good.

I did feel the RS was overdone but after two+ years with a more modern wheel I caved and bought the BBS because the E30 truly looks best with a nice polished lip and a period correct wheel.

Our cars need to meet maybe you will come to SoWo in May.
