Oh yesss! I've been waiting for updates on this one. Keep up the good work, it's clear that this M3 is in good hands.

Car is back in my possession and looks perfect.
I'll get a full post together but here's a small amount of what I was dealing with. Extensive work was done underneath the car. Trunk, jack blocks, rockers...all rebuilt with new metal.
Around the windshield...
Behind the rear bumper
Back together!

The nightmare started 2 weeks ago when we attempted replacing the windshield seal and found more rust underneath.
The e30 M3's windshield is actually glued in and is a structural part of the car, so it had to be cut out. We sourced a brand new windshield and seal from BMW, added new metal, sealed and primed. Sunroof panel, same deal. So the whole top half of the car is being repainted.
I'll post some photos when it's complete.

Car looks fantastic Larry. Excited to see what the turbo fan project outcome will be. I really want to get my hands on a set. Or even just a pair.

Finished up the mirrors today. I attached the glass with 3M Super Strength Molding Tape.
So there's no factory made gasket for these DTM mirrors and the original mirror gasket is way too large. Not exactly sure what to do about that. I might have to make my own. You can see the line on the molding where the original gasket was. If I leave it this way, wind and water are going to get behind the tweeter.

Those DTM CF mirrors look nicer than others I've seen for sale on the net. How stiff are the swivels? Where in Germany did you source them from? Thinking of getting a set as well.
The DTM mirrors are from Markus Glaum in Germany. I haven't popped the swivels into place yet because I need to glue the mirrors on to the backing plates. The quality is good though, I'd recommend them. The only thing is they're really thin, so be careful when you install the swivels.

Feeler. Contemplating putting these up for sale. PM me an offer if interested.
BBS RS 212 / 197
All 4 centers are BBS RS 212. Rears are built to 197 specs. Brand new lips and barrels all around.
17x8.5 et13
17x9.5 et13
I will source and include black caps, but I'm keeping these red ones for another RS build.

Update
DTM mirrors have arrived from Germany. They showed up in some nice wrapping paper
Here's what you get: Two mirror bodies, two mirrors, two backing plates and two swivel plates. I don't know what they're called, so I'm gonna call them swivel plates. (Just showing one set of the mirror parts here.)
The BMW backing plates are bigger than the actual mirrors, so they have to be cut to fit.
Example.
Need to be very careful positioning the swivel plates. This is very thin carbon fiber so I don't want to deal with repairing holes and drilling again.
You can see the BMW stamp. I believe these are molds of original BMW DTM parts. Pretty cool.
First hole. Now use the plate as a template for the other 3.
Done.
Position the backing plate over the swivel head and start cutting.
Done.
Here's a test fit with the mirror in place. I have to find the right adhesive to attach the mirror to the backing plate. Any suggestions? I'm thinking I'll use an all-weather silicone adhesive. Something that can withstand water and temperature changes.
