I love it but at the same time i **** it, just hard to watch such a rare iconic car that clean be anything but stock.
I know what you mean. That's why I'm keeping every single original part that comes off so it can be returned to stock someday. Also plan on keeping the S14. I even kept the original front strut mounts...most people just have them cut up for coils.

Thats super reassuring! Thats the best way to do it, and it makes me more pumped to see where this build goes! Just recently bought an '88 M3 built for j-spec/m3t!
And the turbo fans, at least the original, where used to pull the hot air from the brakes. They did it quite well too, i remember seeing a burnout video with them on and you can see how they work, just dont remember where i saw it :/
Great looking car and really nice build you have going. Asim has told me about your car I have the one that was photographed for the E-Garage feature with his old M Coupe. Following this cant wait to se some Livery Wheels on this bad boy our cars are like siblings mine is Brilliantrot over Natura. I have a build thread for mine over on S14.net if they ever get it back up and running. I have found some hard to get parts over the last two years feel free to message me if you are looking for stuff. Looking forward to seeing it done!

Hey, Drew right? Great hearing from you. Asim has told me a lot about this car and it looked great in the E-Garage feature. I didn't realize you also had so much leather work done on the interior. Would love to check the car out in person next time I'm in Chicago.
It'd be awesome to build you a set and I'm definitely still looking for parts myself. Will be in touch.

Just the console arm rests map pockets and steering wheel. Shift boot and handbrake were BMW parts. Kind of want to have the door and rear panels finished off eventually and possibly the dash. Seats were in almost new conditions. New wheels are possible but I have two cars needing clutches and one that I might have painted this winter and I do like my ACS.

I think we have the same one piece knob/boot. Does yours light up? If so did you connect it to the cigarette lighter? I'm hesitant to start cutting wires under there but it'd be nice to have a light up knob.
Suspension arrived from Vorshlag. They are an official dealer of AST and I had the spare strut mounts shortened and built into AST 4100 coilovers. Overall the fit and finish is great, and Vorshlag did a nice job powdercoating the old housings.
Here's everything. Added brand new brake dust shields. You can also see the e28 bearings. Not pictured are the new abs rings pressed onto the back side of the bearing.
Swift springs and Vorshlag plates.
Big fan of these adjusters. So much nicer than dual locking aluminum adjusters.

Well this sucks, the allen bolt that holds the rotor on is too soft. I stripped both sides and had to make new allen keys to get these out. Will need to replace these with new, but for now, they're all I have.
Yes I put a jack stand under there
It was 100 degrees that day.
Sorry no pics of the actual installation. Was under a time crunch to get this done. But here's the final result:
Drives beautifully.
Only complaint is that I couldn't adjust the fronts any higher without spinning the threaded tube on the front housing. Called Vorshlag and they blamed this on me, that I must have loosened the gland nut that holds the tube on. That's absurd. I had to go out and buy a gland nut wrench to finish the assembly job for them, since they didn't apply enough torque to the assembly. Another thing, I will have to shorten the front bump stops because there isn't enough travel when I match the fronts and rears. Pretty disappointed in their response after spending so much money on having these built.
That said, I like their plates and this is a great overall setup.
