    Thanks man!

Got some goodies in the mail today. IDF lower control arms which will finally get rid of the stupid positive camber MK4's get when aired out. Paired with the new front struts I got - Airlift performance series with camber plates on top + adjustable dampening + threaded shock body - it should be getting about -2* aired out. I should have the struts shortly after the first of the month.

Subframe me will be off to the powdercoater hopefully early next week if I can manage to modify it a little by then. I need to weld a nut on the inside of it for the skid plate bolt. My old subframe was so beat up where the skid plate mounts, that it would be nearly impossible to run one this year. Tentative goal is to have the motor in the second week of February.

Really good work man. Paint looks top notch, all about the prep work to get it there. I am currently in the process of shaving my bay, I know how time consuming it is. Not to mention the wiring, which I refuse to deal with so props to you for that. Best MK4 build.

Well today I got the turbo in the mail. That was exciting.

So I immediately went to the shop to bolt it up

Already took the cold side off to get powdercoated. Should really bring everything together well. I'm still debating on whether or not I'll ceramic coat the manifold and hot side. I just have to locate a place locally that'll do it, and for how much.

Then my buddy came up to help extend the engine harness a good 14" or so. We got that all taken care of, so all that needs to be done with that is taped, and tech-flexed. He said he'll have it done by Wednesday or maybe this weekend if he's feeling ambitious lol. Really, after that the motor can essentially go back in.

Last few days have been kinda boring, all I've ended up doing was cleaning/stripping the block. I painted it last night with a wrinkle black. Ended up painting the head wrinkle black too. Actually turned out quite well, I'm pretty impressed with the VHT stuff. We'll see how it holds up..

Pushed the motor into the engine bay just to see how the color combo is going to work out. It's gonna be awesome.

Tomorrow my OEM harness tape will arrive, so I'll wrap the harness up a little bit, and then I'm going to drop my subframe to get that blasted/powdercoated the same gold that everything else is. I'll prob end up painting the steering rack while I'm in there too.

Been lacking on the updates lately, so here's a few..

Not much to report other than I ordered my turbo PTE 5858 journal bearing .63 A/R, T3 flange, 2.5" 4 bolt housing. Excited for that to get here! Motor will be getting cleaned and painted a wrinkle black next week sometime as I'm waiting for my buddy to finish extending my engine harness and wrapping it in tech flex. I ordered a couple rolls of OEM cloth tape today. **** **** balls is that stuff expensive!

Got my IE manifold back from the powder coater and bolted it up to see how the VC and manifold look together, I wasn't dissapointed that's for sure. Loving it so far. Pictures don't do it justice. Bass boat status.

I'll prob end up dropping the subframe next week and getting that powdercoated too. Because why not. Also decided to add up the total amount of money I have into this little MK4 not including the price what I paid for it in 2006.. $48,000. What. The. ****. I'm going to cry myself to sleep tonight.

Got the car back from Autoworks today. Looks killer. Ended up not doing much tonight except for routing the harness through the frame rail. Got another engine harness to chop up tonight too. Makes extending the harness WAYYYY easier.

Now I do have a question. How is everybody making this section of the harness look pretty? Only thing I can think of is wrap it with some OEM tape and call it good.

Donno what's next really. Maybe I'll reattach the brake lines, ABS module and booster within the next few days. I broke the clip that clips into the booster at the brake pedal so I need a new one of those. Anybody have a P/N on that?

Swung up to the shop to see it today. Man is it beautiful.. The clear they used is unreal, it lays so flat there's virtually NO orange peel. That's crucial because it's near impossible to wetsand and buff an engine bay.. I'm going to pick it up on Monday, and hopefully finishing the wiring by the end of next week.
