Matt, for my EVO 5 radiator I modded the core support, it gives it the height it needs to have the cap at the right spot as well.

So this is the finish 90% of the parts in the bay will have.

Here is the MASSIVE Nisei intercooler. 3.8" core, cast end tanks, 22 inches tall. Going to run bumperless for a little until I can figure out which bumper I want to go with.

Took a shot in the dark and bought a Evo RS master cylinder. Wasnt sure if it would fit and it does! This has 2 incorporated proportioning valves so it cleans up the bay, also more importantly it should have the proper balance for the brembos.
20150524_002116 by Matt Gartner, on Flickr
All of the parts below are ready to install. Everything is getting coating in Ceramic Pro hydrophobic ceramic coat to keep road grime off the suspension parts and keep them looking new.

I wasnt satisfied with the dull shine that the factory mishimoto finish so I polish mine to perfection. Tryed the mothers ball first, finally went all out with a 4 step polish.

Well since I am mainly working on the rear right now I decided to cut the rot out of the fender wells and this makes me sooo sad to see. But I will have it taken care of.

Pads and rotors have about 3k on them so I am going to burn through those before getting 2 piece rotors and hawk pads.
Compared to the stock up front. Stock rotor is 10 inches, the brembos are 11 3/4inches
20150602_183132 by Matt Gartner, on Flickr
Calipers are also 3lbs lighter

Been a busy last week. The car is now on the ground.
I cut the area I needed to cut for the awd swap when that happens
20150615_134634 by Matt Gartner, on Flickr
While working on the rear I found that somehow sand sat in the fender wells from the truck and held water so there is some rot that needs to be tended to by the end of summer.

Been a long couple weeks since my last post. The car has been such a huge stress. The machinist who has the bottom end keeps postponing a week. I call him every week saying the same thing.
He has pretty much put this project on a standstill.
Sent out the head for a surface and a valve job, got it back in 3 days.

Had me feeling like
Finished all of the ports up. Forgot to take pictures of the exhaust side.
20150702_213900 by Matt Gartner, on Flickr
My biggest fear of this build is that all the time and effort I am putting in there will be something dirty or dingy looking on the car. Because of that I have spent the extra bit of effort cleaning up the head to a better than new finish. The head and all the attached parts will be finished like this. Then protected in ceramic pro.
20150710_235610 by Matt Gartner, on Flickr
Its is very hard to see the finish because of the rough cast, but trust me its icey.
Ported other miscellaneous parts
20150708_173337 by Matt Gartner, on Flickr
This is the o2 housing, opened it up and smoothed it because the wastegate merge was made by a blind tweak with a sawzall

Goodridge brake lines, balance shaft delete kit(since I lost mine), Oil cooler plugs(temporary), and GM IAT
