So I got the 2 issues fixed. The machine company only took 5mm off of the backpad on 1 of my rear wheels which was causing the major rubbing on the driver side and the LOUD rotational noise I was hearing was the lug bolts were hitting the brake rotor shield so I took out the grinder and shortened the rear 10 lug bolts 8mm each and its now all good.
I think I hit the fitment perfect. I had 4 adults in the car last night and it doesn't rub 1 bit
Some day I get someone who knows what they are doing to take some shots, until then, enjoy my potato shots

Not a fan of the wheels but then again it's tough to make an E38 look bad. Still looks mean as hell.
LS swap - there is at least 1 documented E38 build out there (see LS1Tech and BF.C Engine Conversion section). As you said, it draws heavily from the E39, so you shouldn't have any issues. Where did you source your mounts? What oil pan? What manifolds, or are you going with LTs? What are you doing for the rest of the exhaust? Driveshaft?
Wiring is time consuming but not impossible.
Looking forward to some great burnouts
