This things turning out great. I like the 16 inch wheel but its hard to say, front hub is much larger, it might just look odd without the sprocket on. Also I think a shortened rear fender would look better with the meaty rear tire.

I do not want to cut up the pre unit rear fender.. re pops sell for about $450 for replicas... so... lol.
But i will have a second rear fender that is smaller .. and i am going to run the 18" rear with sprung hub with the factory rigid. if/when i get a stretched and dropped rear section i will run the 16 then.

well had the jug dropped off for bore yesterday. had 9:1 compression pistons in it somehow... the head will also get new valve guides, valves, springs, etc. basically everything internally except crank and con rods will be replaced. hopefully have it done by march... ordering hard to find parts from England takes a while lol... but that gives me time to sort paint work out as well as do some polishing/blasting/cleaning, etc.

Got some new badges for the later model pre unit tank...

and also a skinny rear fender since I'm gonna ditch the factory triumph one.

spring has sort of sprung... but I'm back working on it again.. may be a couple of weeks until i can really start going as the garage floor is pure ice. but i managed to put on the hard tail..

here it is with a 500 tank on it.. the pre unit tank I'm using is fatter

and a bunch of engine parts...

got a blast cabinet... wish we had got one sooner! makes life so much easier...

not huge, but good for smaller parts...

                        50/50 of the tank mount

                        painted....

                        then i blasted this...

sanded out the marks from the sand blasting...

polished... minor imperfections but whatever I'm not spending hours sanding it out and making it perfect - this bike will be made to be ridden not a museum piece.
