Most trucks, even the smaller commercial ones run WABCO or Knorr-Bremse air compressors. They're pretty massive, gear driven, noisey, and liquid cooled. Of course they would fill your tank up in a matter of seconds.

If there's any interest from OP I can throw up a picture of when I had Bullitts on my Grand Marquis. Stock height though.

This is awesome. I had a similar idea but it was to use a Crown Vic and see if it would drift. Any joy on finding wheels for this yet?

So... long time since updates… I got the axle in and have been enjoying all the skid chucking and tire smoke, @DeltaAlpha9 it does drift, a stiff static setup would be better. I took my bros for a spin and they said it was like watching the dash cam footage from a movie cop chase, LOL! I did have my first problem since the install though and it was the crappy white plastic speedometer gear, in about 2000 km it ate every single tooth but 2, this gear was required to correct the speedo but due to the increased tooth count it had very thin weak teeth. I put my old green gear in, as I'm am getting ready to park for the winter any way, green gear has 32% error. I think I'm going to source an electronic speedometer correction device instead.

Plans this winter are to install the aluminum drive shaft and finish the interior lighting upgrades.
Since the R/A swap I have been considering a power adder and have been doing some research on an Eaton M112 cobra blower. I can handle any pipe and or bracket fab work and relocating the battery etc. Any Ideas? I would like to keep it under $5000.00, I know I said there would be an LS swap in the future, if it ever came to it, but I’d like to see what can be done with bolt on before I go that crazy.
In the meantime I have been helping a buddy with this which helps me save money for more expensive upgrades and still satisfy my need to modify stuff.

It’s a 1949 Mercury that we are putting onto an S10 frame, Full Air Ride and a healthy 350 SB.
Also here is a picture of my baby with my buddies Dakota that we bagged and 7-linked about 10 years ago.
