Funny, The last time I was at the local Burger King hot rod meet, I was sitting in my truck about to leave and this dude in a '68 Mustang sat there (holding like 1.5k rpms with foot) for at least two minutes waiting for some heat so it wouldn't stall. (automatic) I just bumped my key, popped it in 1st, and rolled out of the lot without touching the gas.

Sensors and injectors go bad and aren't cheap.
Carbs just need to be cleaned.
Also, a properly tuned carb will have better throttle response than most efi.

Bottom line is old cars will have issues. I know these carbs well enough now to sort them out when something comes up. I have a back up set of su's that I can use for parts too. Yesterday I needed to swap out float chambers as the one on the car had stripped threads and was leaking. Not a big deal really. I was just venting when I said I was starting to **** the carburetors

Car might go dormant for a little bit, while I work on the trunk setup. Kind of a mess back there right now and it needs to be done properly. Its all bolted down and what not, but I want to get creative with the layout. Also, I want to run some copper hard lines. I have to decide if I want to have a spare and work with the existing setup or go no spare and have free range over the trunk. As it is now, the spare is mounted vertically and sits in a well off to the driver side. Throws off the symmetry and doesnt leave a lot of room for the tank, compressor, valves etc. Ill post pics of all that when I get into next week. Might need some advice or ideas.
Needed to check off "alley shot" for my photo locations haha. I used to be very into photography, but it was years ago and im definitely rusty.

however, if you're never too far from home then going sans-spare leaves you with a much cleaner and more symmetrical setup in the trunk.
you really just have to weigh your options and decide how necessary it is in relation to how you use your car.

i've really enjoyed all your pics and I think you've done an excellent job especially on locations. my only advice is get lower to the ground and high up in the air to get some interesting angles....and MORE interior pics please
i feel like you need to own this
I have totally had my eye on that model amazon! I just wish it was bigger. There are a couple on ebay and its only $40 but its tiny.
So as far as the photography, im still experimenting with settings, angles, editing, etc. I dont have a great kit, so I have to make do. I just need to keep getting out there and taking tons of shots. Also, it would be fun to shoot some other cars. I should spend more time at the location too. Usually I just take a few quick shots and bounce. Here is an attempt at an elevated perspective. Just didnt really like how it turned out.

you've taken a lot of great pics so far and I'd follow this thread just for the pics if i wasn't also an Amazon owner.
however, when i shoot cars on location i spend hours and hours either shooting my car as the stand in model or the actual car just to make sure i get the perfect shot. The more time you spend in a location the more comfortable and familiar you get with it. Shots and angles become more apparent the longer you are there.
Keep up the great work and I like the new shot.E46 Touring Build Thread http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=56076
