So the plan for the car has changed, going to be running a Garret GT3076 turbo. Finally have the car back on the ground after adding coilovers and replacing all bushings with new urethane ones. Here are some photos on the ground for the first time in months.
this looks great man, quality parts and a quality job! keep it coming!
Thanks man.
So I have ordered a Garrett GT3071R turbo for the M20 and going to start building the engine for the turbo soon. Even though this sets me back a few months will be pushing over 300hp when all said and done. Will be using a Getrag 260 and e30 diff to put the power to the ground.
Hopefully the car will be finished in November/December. Going to be moving it up to a friend of mines garage to get everything installed and get a bunch of cutting/welding completed.
This is so dope. Good luck with turbo manifold/inner fender clearance. Hope it all works out.
I had to ditch the headers I was planning on using when I put the M20 in my 2002.
What are you doing for a trans and rear end?
I am using a turbo manifold that another guy used in a M20 Turbo and it fit so hopefully it fits in my car! For the trans I am using a getrag 260 with a e30 drive line and e30 differential built with 40% lock.
I guess you're cutting the tranny tunnel out for clearance (My e21 323i tranny is a little snug, the 260 is even bigger!). Interested to see how you mock up the rear diff.
