Man, always bummed when I get to the end of a long thread to find the car hasn't been finished! Awesome work. Any updates? Also, interested to hear your feedback on the gc coils once it's running, about to go through my '02 and am debating between those and the ie coils.

I felt that my car is to good of shape to really cut it up so I went with the 4 speed. Maybe one day with another 2002 I'd try the Getrag 260. I went with the same Bimmerheads cam. The turbo manifold I have for my car is supposed to work with the 2002 and M20. Same one Wobbie ran.Originally posted by 88SuperEtaBD View PostMan...all the trouble your going through is scaring me lol. I have my g260/driveshaft sitting inside my 02. And just gotta finish assembling my 2.9L m20 built for turbo. Have you test fitted that 6-1 ebay manifold? I have an adapter currently, but wanna get twin scroll. Im worried its gonna hit the steering arms. I have the same manimal mounts. Have yet to try to get the motor in for I need to assemble the head. Which cam did you use? I went with Bimmerheads 284/274.
Keep the updates coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From my research, the only way your getting that 260 in is cutting it. I have accepted to cut my car up... the carpet is gonna cover it back up anyways.
The car is currently back home in Washington so I am unable to finish it up. This summer it will be finished and will be brought down to Alabama. Hopefully it'll make SOWO next year. We'll see. As always check out my site lol http://www.neuemotorsports.com/

I'm assuming you mean Otis. Also known as Good&Tight. His work in insanely good, he could definitely make something workOriginally posted by mikey G View PostThere's a dude on r3v making custom m20 manifolds. His work is top notch. Im sure he could come up with something for you if you are having clearance issues.

Sorry for no updates. The car is sitting back home in Washington waiting for the finishing touches. I'm down in Tuscaloosa Alabama for college so the car is not getting worked on. Its safe and out of the weather so thats all that matters.Originally posted by mikey G View PostWhat ever happened with this. Update us!
The plan is to get it road worthy enough to make the 2,500 mile drive from Seattle to Tuscaloosa. Thats all I am really wanting out of the car for now. In the meantime I am staying busy with my website and saving for the next phase of this car but I first need to it to run and drive reliably.
She waits...
