That tub work must have been a little nerve-racking.

I remember seeing this on SpeedHunters, I thought it was the coolest thing ever and I showed it to some of my s-chassis friends and got the expected Nissan purist response.
I was going to put an F20 in my 86 but the timing isn't right, so 20v it is..
And Oxer, I'm with you on hammer and dolley work, It's truly metalworker's therapy.

It has been discussed, but we arent going to do it. The odyvia front end requires a big bulky front bar and guards, and if we were to use the spirit kit, id have to cut a good 6 inches off the bottom of the bar. Remember, the fitment on the front will be tight with 16"s.... the cars running the spirit kits run 18"+. This car will sit much lower then a lot of other silvias.

Not nerve racking when you've done similar stuff before

Such a super cool build - definitely following this till the end! I'm in love with the fabrication work and the fact you've combined the best part of a Honda (did I just say that?) with the legacy of a Silvia.

                  Keep it up!

I was trying yo convince Toli to let me give the car an intense flame job, but he is extremely far from convinced.

You got my wheels dirty man.

So I decided to finish the front drivers side.

It was raining pretty heavy and I was planing on using my clothes line pole to bend a curve into the sheet. I found the next best thing..

I also did a little bit of stitch welding, wont make much difference, but meh.

Then I broke the top off a bottle of beer.... Since its against the law to waste alcohol, I did what any man would do, use paint filters and filter the beer into another empty bottle.

Time to make the mounting points for the rad support which I am yet to make.

Over the years brake fluid had taken its toll on the drivers rail. Surface rust covered it all the way under the car and it had even caused rust under some of the painted surfaces. Toli got under and brought it all back to clean, bare metal.

I finished shaving the holes on that side, Cleaned it up and put it in etch primer.

And thats as far as we got, by next weekend I hope to be at the same point on the other side.
