You're probably gonna need huge spacers I believe the offset on those is like et70 but it will look good. Might be pretty hard on your wheel bearings as wellOriginally posted by rab71 View PostI found some C4 corvette wheels tonight. I like them a lot. I'll need spacers but that's okay. They are 16s and have good tires. I'm going to temp fit them at the guy house to see what they look like on the car. We'll see.

You speak the truth brotha!Originally posted by standard125r View PostListen, don't get caught up in these guys drama. Cheap wheels still get you around, and they don't look much different then a later stock BMW wheel. Most of the guys on here don't have to worry about their children taking the car out Friday night, or driving it through a drive thru on $2000 wheels. Don't sweat it, keep on working at it. -Andy
Thanks

My suggestion is GMC Sonoma SLS wheels or the Chevy S10 5 spoke wheel of the same vintage.

LOL JK. Try some 17" widened steelies.I think that will match the hotrod-look you apparently try to accomplish. But on the other side: Whát 16yr old girl would drive an old BMW on some old steel wheels. I mean, we all know little girls are like magpies... They like bright and shiny bits....

I don't even know what those are. I will have to look. And these wheels were $269 for all four! Ebay find. I liked them, I still like them but I want something different so this time I wanna get something that fits the style of the car better.Originally posted by Pdxseth View PostI completely understand not being able to afford a stupid expensive set of racecar wheels for a car that can't even take a corner without scraping. I mean seriously what a waste of nice wheels. Reps are better for stanced cars. Let's save the racecar wheels for the racecars.
But seriously bro....those wheels look like poo. Why didn't you go with a set of esm's or ccw reps? It would have cost the same and looked 10x better.
The car cost me $650! And I wasn't sure where I was going with it so I didn't want to spend alot. I like how it has turned out. I like the matte black and the stripped hood (for now but things change).
I'm not going to put a $2000 air ride on this thing, that would be a huge waste of money. It's just a toy I tinker with. I drive it daily but it's not my daily driver. We have 4 vehicles, this is just a money pitt. Being married with kids I've got more important things to spend money on.Last edited by rab71; 06-27-2013, 04:49 PM.

Thanks, I'm actually in tmarket for new wheels.. I made a post about it in the wheels an tires section.Originally posted by ThatBeanJermz View Posti love the hood dude! i think the rims are alright, if anything i would've just gotten like an inch smaller, but i can still dig it.
I'd like to go lower but my 16 yer old daughter will be driving it and the oil Pam is like 3-4" off the ground as it is.

Thanks, it's actually Plasti Dip and the car took about 8-10 cans of the rattle spray. You can buy it by the gallon too. I wanted to be able to remove it and change colors easily.Originally posted by Twannnd View Postlooks great for a rattlecanpaintjob! how much cans did you use?
