Meh black trim back on.. Just ordered 10.5s for the fronts... Hard to believe this this thing is a SUV at times. Still a work in progress exploring the unknown.
Wow! The X5 wheels look awesome man can't believe how cheap you got those too!
Yeah man I couldnt past up the deal..really not feeling them though. Picked up another set of spares from one of my customes. Couldnt pass the deal up, as you can see up above as Sam posted.
ps: any pics of the bag setup and what you had to do to make the e46 shocks work?
Its static bro no air here. Its pretty much the same setup as the X3 only difference is I had to get sleeves welded around the base of the front struts so that everything could be snugged tightly with no play and safety issues.
Ill leave this here. Took this before bringing the rear down more to get better fitment. More pics coming soon when I get tires for the fronts for both sets of wheels.
Well this happened...did a test fit last night wheels had to grow on me. Def not wide enough and I dont plan on running spacers...I call that cheating, but these willl work for now until I get other wheels. Cant beat 350.00 for OEM BMW stamped. The more and more I looked at them the more and more I began to like them. If only they were wider. Also as you can see the black trim is still there and thats because Im lazy. Hopefully this weekend I will finish taking them off. With work fender rolling/pulling I really have no time to work on my own. It will get done eventually.
Glad to see this thread is back on track! I didn't know e46 coilovers can work for you car. So what brand did you get?
Sure does brochacho and the brand is unknown. A buddy of mine sell parts and I shot him a text saying "Hey I need E46 setup", he shot me a price 3 days later they were here. Didnt care what brand since it was just a test phase to see if they work. Once these blow Ill go with a waaaaaay better setup but for now they work and it wasnt money wasted. If I would have spent a ton of money on a setup that didnt work I would have been pissed. Wouldnt have been able to make any money back because as you know..Houston is the city of lowballers and shot callers.
Your X3 look sgreat! I love the X5 wheels, and that is a great price. It would look OEM+. For that price, I would go for it, if you don't like it you could make profit on the wheels lol
Thanks fellas and yeah I decided to pick them up. Ill be getting them after work. Now I need to figure out what tire size to run...thinking a 215 up front and 245 rear with a decent sidewall. I was running 215s on a 9.5 and 255s on a 11 on last setup with lower offset. Any suggustions? Appreciate all the love and sugestions brochachos
