I had a faded carbon fiber hood that i did a camo-panda pattern with.


a year later I painted a houndstooth pattern over it.


i eventually got rid of the hood. now i'm back to a stock colormatched hood

Small update for those of you who care. Last night I ordered:

-hubcentric rings
-gloss black aluminum valve stems (to match lugs and calipers)
-165/50 Federal Formoza FD1s

This may be what happens to the front fender if I can get it done well for a good price

Hey guys, so a couple months back when everything was snowy and icy here in Denver, some asshole ran into my driver's side front fender during the night. They pushed it in till it hung right over the wheel. I managed to pull it back out a bit by hand until the wheel would clear the fender whenever it hit a bump, but since I'm getting ready to slam her I needed a new fender.

Okay so anyway today I finally found a replacement fender. However, it's not the stock color, but blue. Seeing as how I really have no interest in navigating the rigamorole of painting the thing, I'm considering.... wait for it... stickerbombing the fender. Just the fender.

Okay so I know what you're all probably thinking but bear with me. I'm not a huge fan of the modge-podge bs, but more along the lines of something clean and orderly. Just a pattern to cover the mismatched colors until I respray the whole car.

Something like these guys' hoods:





Alternately, I can get it vinyl-wrapped with a simple pattern like houndstooth or plaid or something. Or do something else. The cheaper the better though.

I want to hear everyone's opinion on this though. I have a pretty open mind and I'm curious to see what you guys have to say. kthx

Ha i can respect that totally! I was saying its not expensive to go low, you just gotta know what parts to buy/make that is all, And my car is a daily driver so its fully functional.
That thing should handle great on that setup for sure!

Haha that's pretty dumped, but I'm not about to cut open my shock towers for moar low. I just want it to be clean, more than anything. Scraping frame isn't the name of the game (dat rhyme) for my build; I'm pursuing something simple and clean and oldschool that stands out but is still functional to a large degree.

Though chances are, with the GCs dialed completely down I'll probably be at about that height in your pic. I'm going off of the front mudflap clearance, which is pretty close to my buddy's clearance when he was running the same coilovers...

I too have a glass door handle shift knob haha maybe its an EF thing

Thanks man! Yeah you can get ridiculously low in these but it costs a lot to do I'm gonna try and get as low as I can with the GCs and still daily it, but someday I think I'll just put it on the ground....

Haha yeah it's a pretty perfect fit for the oldschool look. I especially just like how the glass knob compliments the wood wheel
