Received and replied! Thanks so much man.
So to everyone who's not in on the pm whisperings, here's the plan:
I'll cut the rear Tokico perches down to the base, removing just the cup, and then flipping the coilover sleeve upside down should get me another 1-2" of drop. The 3G Accord shocks will be shaved just in case I want more than the 1.5" extra drop they offer, so I can adjust them through the fork clamp.
It's gonna get loooowwww

Thanks man, I appreciate it! Yeah it's definitely a good look, but I'm actually looking to swap on a 90-91 Wagovan front bumper with a Chargespeed rep lip. All I gotta do is find oneOriginally posted by M.Doban View PostCool stuff going on here, man! I really like the 88-89 bumper with the volvo lip. Easily my favorite front end on these cars. Looking forward to the wheels and lows!
they are crazy rare in the junkyards here. I'm looking forward to it too!
Also, you've inspired me to look for some smaller diameter wheels and meatier tires for my winter setup
maybe I can track down some oldschool jdm goodness....

Small update: in the past few days my valve stems, hub rings and tires have all arrived. This weekend I'll put the finishing touches on my wheels and get the tires mounted, and I'll also get my suspension arms back, which I'll also finish painting. Hopefully when the weather warms up later this week I'll finally finish rebuilding my rear calipers, cut my Tokicos (1mellowkid, do you have answers for my earlier questions?), and start building the whole rear suspension assembly.
We're picking up steam....

I knew about the fork trick for the front (Do I even need to do that with the 3G accord struts btw?). What do you mean by cut perches in the rear? Like cut the cups off or something? Where and how far would I cut? Any pics of this process? I can't find a diy or anything anywhereOriginally posted by 1mellowkid View Postextended tophats with cut perches in the rear and slide the shock down into the fork an inch by cutting the brake bracket off is how you do it

Yeah, you can go pretty low with those coils. Alot of the wagon guys used those to go low. Do you have extended tophats?

Alright kids I really need a hand here. Around this forum and some others I keep hearing that the Tokico HP/Ground Control setup will SLAM efs to the ground. However I'm having a really really hard time figuring out how and why. Can anyone give me some info to help?
I'm mostly confused because the autox fanatic forum (Honda Tech) says that this is as low as you can go with that setup:

But then I turn around and there are a bunch of threads on here saying that THIS is as low as you can go with the setup:

So what am I missing?

That houndstooth is awesome! Much respect. Any pics of it on the car?Originally posted by HKSpeed View PostI had a faded carbon fiber hood that i did a camo-panda pattern with.

a year later I painted a houndstooth pattern over it.

i eventually got rid of the hood. now i'm back to a stock colormatched hood
Hey man I just want to say that that is HUGE coming from you. I love your builds, and I really appreciate the commentOriginally posted by FluidMotorUnion View PostPretty wicked build you've got going on here. And it's a good platform to use, too. Not enough people give these cars aesthetic lovin'.
And I noticed you got the Suja 1 bushing kit, too. Their garage is actually super close to my house. I had them do my valve adjustment on my '08 Si. Great guys with a massive wealth of knowledge.
Can't wait to see how the car keeps progressing!
I hope I can do you proud with my lowly (get it? Low-ly? Because stance? Right? Everybody? I'll stop.) Civic.
The Suja 1 guys were super helpful with my bushings. I only wish they had labeled them all haha
