Do you have any pics of what needed to be modified to fit the GSX-R front end? Loving the bike!

good looking rat bike, you can pretty much take these bikes in any direction you want when it comes to modifying them..they make a great starting platform

Thanks! Unfortunately i don't have any pictures as i was very anxious to install the front end once i got the parts back.. here is a picture off of google to show the stem before it was machined

basically the aluminum post (the stem) needed to be machined to match the dimensions of the virago stem

Oh.... I was thinking the actual frame part had to be modified. This is so much easier! AND cheaper!

Well I raised the tank a bit, and decided to do a little i phone photoshoot during a ride today...

I just need to get some rotors before i can install the front brakes, and I'm going to start fabbing s subframe for the 2 person seat sometime next week

The ride is a little harsh, only because of the low bars...my back is sore after about 30 minutes of riding

What made you go with that front end over an R6 or R1? And where did you send off the stem to get machined?

I plan on doing the same thing to my Virago I picked up a few years ago. Need to keep myself busy this summer since I won't have a fun car!

availability..found one for sale pretty cheap so i went for it.
I just sent it to a local machine shop...any machine shop should be able to do it

Well I've been busy riding instead of updating...but i have done some more building.
Here is the start of the bracket that im fabricating for the 2 person seat.

                        pictures will follow after install

This has me looking for a Virago. Any chance you might be selling that single seat setup if I do pick one up?

The solo seat stays on my bike until the gf wants to tag along...but the seat itself is made by biltwell...check out some of their stuff
