No announcement yet.

At some point in my life, I'm going to regret making a build thread for this thing.

The skuff plate and pins will rust. I let mine sit outside for a winter and come spring they were rusted without even having to touch them.

Well, finally bit the bullet over the weekend and tore the rear half of the truck apart to build the 4-link and get the coilovers installed. Expect the truck to be down for a week or so. We worked straight through the night Sunday night (being as yesterday was a holiday here), got lots done. Didn't take a single picture as we just worked.

I'll get some pictures up soon, I promise. Everything has been designed to fit under the stock bed floor, which, initially, I assumed to be impossible at this ride height.

            Stay tuned.

Pretty sure during the summer Canada has the first Monday off at the beginning of each month. Probabaly has something to do with hockey and Molson beer.

Looking forward to some pics of this beut.

Jeff will inform you that they do many strange things with maple syrup up there.

More IG burnouts requested as well.

                            Dave said it best.

Went out and took some pictures. It doesn't look like much, but there was a lot of time spent figuring out proper 4-link geometry and managing to fit it all under the bed floor. Initially, I thought I'd lose my bed floor, or at least most of it. We rebuilt the crossmember three times throughout the night and wound up realizing under the bed would indeed work.

                            Said x-member:

The tabs are only just set roughly in place, they may wind up moving once the x-member in welded and welded in the frame.

Next up is the fuel cell frame-work and the pan it sits in. There was a spare tire crossmember located back here previous to the cell, it had to leave. Unfortunately it was welded to the inside of the frame, relatively hard to remove entirely, so I'll be plating the inside of the rails to better support the frame work for the cell and also to hide all that shit, my OCD would be off the charts otherwise.

The front crossmember visible in this picture will be removed once the 4-link crossmember has been welded in.

Fuel cell pan - made of galvanized by my cousin. It's not fully welded yet due to it being galvanized and the fact that I **** welding galvanized. Hahaha.

                            Bingo bango:

Aaaaaand this is why you should finish one project before starting another, or two or three more.

Coilovers will be here tomorrow along with all fuel lines and fittings, I went AN line/fittings again for ease of installation and guaranteed reliability (seeing as this thing goes to Ocean City every fall or farther).

Truck should easily be completed by Sunday, I can't wait.
