So I have some updates to show you guys.

Started playing with the engine a bit, couldnt help myself from removing some junk of it, and even help with its transportation back home.

    Some random shots

Then I managed to source this

    Awesome quality

That I can use in many spots that I need to

    Like this

    Great quality and finish

    I miss you Audi

Now, bodyshop wise . . . Test fitting the inner wheel arch

    Great fitment first try

    Bolted in place

    Welded

    Zinced

    And then seam-sealed and primered

RS4 fender cut and ready to be test-fitted

Looking good even on first attempt

    Inner side primed

    Some shots of the guns

    Clear coat nozzle

    With some of this

The painter left me outside his booth

To put a coat of colour

    And then played with this

    more on this propably tomorrow

    Its all in the details

    Door gap

    More to come

    Cheers

    Mike

Well this week started with some surprises

First of all I had some deliveries. Rather interesting ones I might say

    Big things need big trucks

First pics while smiling like a 5-year old

    2JZ baby

Then I left the camera and started playing with the engine, sorry about that, LOL

In the meanwhile, the shop did some work on the car while I was away

And by some, I mean, removed the A4 fender, and inner arch

    New and old parts

Tomorrow more work will be done

What is more, I had some time to do some work on minor things, but it is all in the details as they say.

So here is a before of two Defi gauges

And here they are, after the touch of my friend Andy from Dazzle Detailing Center

    Hope you liked this update

    More to come

    Cheers

    Mike

More work was done today, and I am very very happy to share it with you

First things first, welding on the fender was finished

    Door floor

Final sanding, and then seam sealer before painting starts.

What is more, all the rivet holes, from the window trim removal were filled, and then grinded down to give the clean look

Now . . . if you recall, we had a minor issue with the rear doors, as the RS4 ones are a bit wider. However, if you have a shop with balls like these, you dont need RS4 doors, nor do you need bondo and filler or fiberglass to make it happen. Take a look for yourselves.

    Before

And after. Let's Talk about art

In the shop's demand, I cannot show pics of the inner door side, cause let's just say, its their art and I respect that
All I can say is, it is purely metal work, no bondo or no filler or fiberglass. Respect and props from me.

    Trim out

    Grinding time

    No mercy

    Almost done

Next time, we will go to the passenger's side

where the glass is already removed

Taken with me in the other vehicle

    Cheers guys, more to come

    Mike

So, I have a lot of pics with progress to show you all.

    Inner arch

    cut

    new one

    Cut

    test-fitted

And then installed, with all the proper things done first

    Primed

As well as the inner side of the fender

    And then painted

    Checking fitment

    Before

    And after

    Door difference

    Another thing I did is this . . .

    And voila, no door trim

    Rear ones

And then, you guessed correctly, all of them removed

Then we installed more things to check for correct alignment

RS4 fender meeting the RS4 bumper

RS4 Seibon trunk meeting RS4 fender (almost. . . lol)

Time for some holes for the Vi's engineering quick bumper releases

    Time to weld

    More to come
