    Updates:

Everything connected, wires and hoses still to be put neattly hiidden on the underbody, safe and all . . . .

time to remove the OEM fuel tank. Boy, what a project . . . exhaust, quattro, rear subframe, handbrake cables, etc etc . . . onto the pics..

    Starting...

    Exhaust off the car...

Tom stealing my Torsen while I caught him red-handed

    More things off

Time to remove the subframe, cause the tank wouldnt come off in any other way . . .

    After some work, voila . . .

Look what came off, after that.

Leaving my car empty from the underside (and very very light in the back, if you think what has been removed so far so my friends were sitting in the back of the car, LoL ) . check it out.

So, I just came back from a ride, in the national road to make some pulls on 4th gear . . . Weather was about 15-20oC cold (60-70o F) so it was a good chance.

I have some good and some bad news . . .

    The bad news . . .

870cc injectors, 3bar static in the FPR, 044 inline pump, and there are fuel cuts in the 4th gear after 6500rpm in everything above 30psi of boost.

I certainly didnt expect that to happen in that boost. Well not certainly, lets say I hoped . . .

The good news is ,that the car makes some serious power, otherwise, this wouldnt happen.

Tom said, that we could lower the FPR to 2,5bar static, but then, the idle would have some serious issues .

My thoughts now are these. I possibly need bigger lines, a second 044 pump and a new fuel rail . . . .

Oh boy, does it ever end . . . .?

Some more pics of the OEM tank removal procedure, I forgot from the last post.

    Tidy

Empty-ness beneath rear passengers' compartment ( i might make it flat bottom in the future )

    Washing OEM Fuel Tank

Ready to hit the road . . .

    Pics of installation

    Test fitting

    Welding

Initially I thought of putting the stripes like that, but it wasnt correct.

So we welded some hinges, and went this way . . .

    Safe, no movement

Everything inside will be colourcoded and painted nicely, I will show you the finished results . . .

Clean, Polished, Painted the Fabricated parts

Not much left to do now . . .

    So . . . .

Looking at those . . . you see a weak remaining linkage. . . expensive, comfortable, yeah for sure, but does not suit this car . . .

Correct, seat is on the way to exit my car, once more, like two years before . . . This time though, for a set of RECAROs . . .

    So I chose

2x RECARO Profi SPG XL Plus + 2x Set of RECARO Aluminium Side Mounts + 2x Custom Seat Frames

Onto the mounting and meauring of the frames . . .

First Seat to go in the car . . .

    And then the other . . .

A big thanks to Kostas Sant for the photos, and for the help in mounting the seats ;-)

I hope you guys liked it , hehe

    Cheers

    Mike

Ok time, for a proper build update.

Firstly some updates on the VC project i had shown before . . .

Started as a bit of a mess

But I made it turn out good . . .

    Halfway

    Almost Cleaned

Then took the tools to cut out some unnecessary little metal parts and make it smooth and pretty

Primered it with 1K aluminium Primer

And then started to put the colour on it . . .

    Ready for installation

Close up of the crankcase breather

    Bought some hose

    Test fitted it

And then ready, installed, breathing to air

On another note, ordered these goodies from Ringer Racing

    And this from TiAL,

To increase some boost, as this isnt enough on the 6262, L O L

    Hehe . . .

DO you remember the Dash I was working on, for days, and had left at the shop for a retrim in alcantara. . . ?

Guess what, it is ready . . .

    Voila . . .

NeedLess to say, that crappy iphone pics dont do it justice, it is AWESOME in person . . . a proper photoshoot will follow, I promise

Then I lost no time, and installed it myself . . .

Doesnt look that bad . . . hmmm. oh well, since I have it ready, I might as well put it on, I thought . . .

Again, proper pics will follow very soon, I promise . . . really worth the cost, even though, NOT cheap . . .

Some more good news , is we ran a compression test, all 4 cylinders are the same, at 155psi, awesome engine build work by Tom, @ Tom's Garage

    Hope you liked it
