seats in. what a pain in the ass. volvo has the widest seat rails ever. took some work but end result was worth it.

    driving position is perfect now.

also got some nice 1 inch spacers for hood risers. those will be in tomorrow after i get longer bolts.

    More to come!

Volvo steelies are only welded in 4 places, about 3 inches long. Took a cutoff wheel and seperated the weld, then beat the ever living shit out of it until it came free.

I'm trying to move along on this project as fast as I can. It's all small stuff for now until the suspension is in. And the wheels are done. Then the fun begins.

              updates:
              hood has risen.

not a huge difference, but noticable.
found some 3m griptape that will replace the shitty worn out rubber pedal covers.

also had to re-think the spoiler. currently my design was complex and was going to cost well over 150 bucks to make. so i changed to a single piece of 1/8th inch aluminum, 57"long by 8" wide, with a 45* bend at 3" in. itll be bolted to the rear of the trunk with fender bolts. hopefully itll hang on. if not ill re-inforce it with some 2" stock bent into "L" brackets for front support.

at some point my yellow laminex for the headlights will arrive, i am deleting the center (high beam) lights to make a hole for a ram air tube on the pass side, and the left side will have the lines for an external oil cooler coming thru it. the remaining 2 lights will be both high and low beam, and yellow.
working on a top secret front lip idea too. stay tuned folks! shits gonna get real.

                    ok soooo....
i was trying to sleep last night and couldnt, i kept thinking of what i could use to make a center console plate for switches and a killswitch etc. i recalled my old rx7 had an aluminum street sign cut up and bent to fit the dash area, then it hit me.
i have about 5 or 6 old street signs laying around, that are 1/8th inch aluminum, and FREE!
                    spoiler project was on.

                    traced out the pattern.

                    tried it on for fitment.

then after final finish work, and some aircraft grade paint remover:

very happy with the outcome. now that the spoiler is done im going to make a rear lip/diffuser, and try to locate a 760gle front lip without fog light holes.
                    updates soon!

my daily also has a side exit. i love it. i put a big pipe on it, so you should look into putting one on if you're going for that obnoxious feel. which you are.

love the wheels on that merc. i had a boso pipe on my old s12, shot 6ft fireballs. also destroyed my shin off of it several times. lol.

                          UPDATE:
got bored and had some free time, so i took the headlight units out and smoked the turns and side markers, deleted the high beams, yellowed out the mains, and ran a duct to the intake.

obviously the haggard intake tube isnt staying, i will be refining it once i get an actual cone filter in there. something that doesnt looks so ghetto.
still working on the wheels...but should have them painted soon.
                          till next time.

How much will the widened steelies cost you when done? I've wanted some for quite some time now... there was a set that Nick Pro had but he sold them.

Well, I paid 75 for the set of 4. So far that's all I have into them. Cut, cleaned, flipped, and trued all by me. Might be an extra 100 or so to get them rewelded..I have a local guy that will widen steelies for 100 a wheel, but I had to flip them due to ff offset not working on fr volvos.

HOORRAAYYYY Its minor boring update time everyone!

decided the spoiler looked better black, also got some bigger hardward with brass countersink washers.

cut the huge 18 wheeler shifter down

Mounted an old tach on the cowl. much easier to keep an eye on the rpm's this way, and looks badass.

                                and finally got my permit.

im dying to get this thing low, i might just cut the springs temporarily until i can afford the other suspension parts.
who am i kidding, im deffinetly doing that!
look for dropped-on-its-nuts pics this weekend.
