I have a digital factory service manual for the W114/W115 chassis, I think some of the pages could help you out. PM me and I can email you the pdf's for suspension installation and removal. Or you can torrent it off the Pirate Bay.

Thanks for the offer man i appreciate it, but time is running out (car has to be lowered by Saturday Feb 23 because i entered it in Nurotag Miami) So i think im gonna take it a friend of a friends shop who knows about this stuff and he's got a lift.

        UPDATE:

Alright so the show (Nurotag) is coming up this saturday and the car is still not lowered.. Im extremely busy with Midterms this and the following week so im not gonna have time to try it myself and im just gonna have a shop do it. The only thing is that i only get one shot (i only wanna pay labor once) so i have to get the amount of coils to cut off right the first time

Can anyone help me decide how much to cut off? I dont want it so slammed tho where its hard to drive but a nice noticeable drop

Im thinking cutting off 3 coils in the front and 2.5 coils in the rear

        Any inputs?

        Thanks

I want to say mine is somewhere around 3 in the rear and like 4.5-5ish up front? I wish i could remember exactly but I just want at them with a plasma till I was happy.

personally i'm thinking that once they are cut (uncompressed at full droop) and all the bolts are broken loose you should have no problem getting in there and cutting another coil or two.

              build thread?

I cut my rears on the car without ever removing them. They would fall out now though. The fronts I actually removed for fear of killing my face.

Hmm so im thinking about sticking to the 3 coils front and 2.5 coils rear. That guy on here "Mushroo_toy" said in his thread that he cut out 2.75 in the front and 2 in the rear to achieve this height.

Im thinking with 3 front and 2.5 rear itll sit just a little lower than that which works for me.

How exactly did you cut the springs on the car? i wanted to try this because it seems easier but just dont know how to go about it..

Yea that was right after he picked it up. Pretty sure at that height you can still use stock shocks too.

I used a plasma cutter and leaned as far away as i could lol I have a lift though so that makes things a ton easier.

Damn i wish i had a lift lol.

And whats this about shocks?? I mean i know that cutting springs on stock shocks shortens their lifespan but is it necessary to change them? What am i supposed to change them to?

I dont drive the car often (maybe once a week) so i wasnt planning on messing with the shocks, especially now since i have to spend this money on having someone cut the springs -__-

Good news, after a bit more than 2 months of ownership, the benz is finally lowered. I think it looks great, rides great, and i could still turn the wheel all the way while stopped

Pics aren't the best quality, but will do

                            ^ my happy face lol

So im really happy with the car, i think it looks great. It got so much attention at Nurotag car show (stance scene) this weekend and ended up winning the award for "Best Retro" Here are some pics i found from the show, also had a professional photographer from V2Lab shoot my car on the roof of the parking lot so waiting on those pics.
