Or just drive around without one like I do, lol. We're not that far off in terms of height, imho it's not really worth worrying about at our ride height. The pan sits nicely tucked up, I'd say the marks come from road debris flying up
I went up to Aberdeen last weekend, shot my friend Marc's Supra. Some of you may recognise it from here. Absolutely stunning car.
And if you follow my Instagram, you'll know that I picked up a set of M5 Throwing Stars from a friend.
I absolutely love them. The rears fit so perfectly, just the way I wanted. They'll take some time getting used to though!
I gave one of the fronts a quick polish and it's coming up quite well. The plan is to give them a quick refurb this week - re-polish the lips and maybe repaint the covers and swap the tyres at the weekend. I want to get the lips absolutely mirror polished, but I'll leave that until winter where I have a bit more time.
Thanks guys, I can't believe how different they make the car look! Might take a while to get used to.
I gave two wheels another good polish after college. So far I've went over them with Atuosol and then Megs Metal Polish. They look ok..but I think I can get them a lot better. My dad is a dental technician, so has access to a few different metal polishes, so he's bringing me home some stuff that will hopefully get all the scratches and corrosion out.
Oh, and I'm doing a weeks work with the guy who painted my car...so maybe he'll paint my centers in return
Got a mates friend to take the tyres off today and started the refurb. Had to go right down to 400 grit to get the worst of the pitting out and there's still some there. It's absolute murder doing it by hand! I'll be here until next season at this rate
Already spent about 3 hours on this wheel. Probably going to do another few with 320 and work up. Will be worth it in the end!
