  • Right like I said, it wouldnt go lower, but a little bit of this;

    went from this;

    To this.

    Which got the car sitting a bit more like this! (appologies for terrible photo, will get more once its lowered properly throughout the week, taking my time and getting everything perfect (Y)

    But yeah! its lower, again, finally. The front coils I might actually take out and adjust up more, just because there is like 0 room in the car to do it...........

    EDIT: And as you can see for now, track hack idea is on hold - Broke with no cash money, so stance again for a bit until end of year while I save, then more meaty track fitment.

    • Right after a lot of cutting and what not with small adjustments, I have got to this stage. Rides nice but there is just SLIGHTLY to much camber on the front, so im about to go and take a little bit out! but nothing like a good bit of rake for the front - TSX's and Accords are notorious for it, plus im not minding it, gives it a bit more... angry look? I dunno.

          • Hmm this week, might go get this thing a wheel alignment, get it sitting absolutely perfect (drivers rear is about 3mm lower than passenger) then the front needs to be stiffened a little more!

            As for the mazda bucket - it needs a new tyre on the back for more skids, then pay off the two ridiculous fines I got in it -.-

            • Keen for some specifics and terminology on what part of the coilover you were cutting, and any other relevant info, if my teins are similar, i may do the same

                Specs and terminology are lacking, as I don't know what the bottom part is called however, I shall explain it!

                The coilovers I have (BC BR Golds) are good, however if you have to much pretension like I did they cannot go low - at all. The base collar you screw up as far as possible and then INTO the base collar screws a threaded rod which has the eyelet on the bottom to bolt it to the accords hub. both of these at as low as they go just aernt enough.

                So - I took out the threaded part that comes from the base of the coil and goes into the hub and cut about 1.5 - 2 inch off of it, leaving still plenty for it to screw into the base (actually still screws in at max, so if i want to go lower I have to cut again, I didnt want to only have it threading in a couple of times as I deemed that to be a bit to unsafe) and from there it lowered the coil essentially.

                However - watch out in doing this it changes the height of the adjustment collars on the coils down and if your running a 17' HIGH offset wheel (like mine is 17 x 10 +25) you MAY hit the coil - I just clear by 5 - 8 mm - but any higher offset and you would start hitting sadly.

                I'm not sure how teins are set up! might be the same, might not.

                          Yeah tell me about it...

                          Although the 626 was bagged because 'I could do it myself,' so he also assumed that he could.

                          The euro that bought my gear ALSO assumed that because I could do it, he could.

                          Neither could, I had to help/basically do all the wiring in both setups, point out all their floors and help them both when it broke multiple times. Everyone here (in brisbane) needs to stop playing with s13's and learn stuff before they go attempting to build cars I dont like fixing others mistakes.

                              But dude. Thats how you mod your car! I think everyone in brisbane needs to stop hardparking so much -_- majority of cars here are just that i think.

                                Tell me about it! I despised black wheels before I got these, ***** them. still not 100% sure but I have moments where I like these a lot and I cant stop looking at the car, but also still have the moments where I still dislike them, but I dunno! not much is being done to this car, everything is being done to my daily at the moment to get it back running.

                                Agreed hugely. Everyones to busy having a look at each others s chassis to actually take them onto the road and drive them.
