This thing almost melts my heart as much as Zooey.
Props from Rockhampton (y'know, that hick town up north that floods more than Brisbane)
Woo rockhampton! haha i actually live up that way during holidays, I work on cattle properties out past moura - nice place! and im originally from innisfail even MORE north, where it floods more than rocky and brisbane combined, each week basically haha.
So this isnt really an update, just a bit of a... filler? I don't really know. I'm currently sitting at uni, bored out of my skull and SHOULD be studying but.. eh. accounting subjects are infinite boredom compared to chilling on S|W reading all the build threads.
Anyway, for those in brisbane/northern NSW you all better be coming to this:
So there is a decent size show this weekend, I will be attending along with the Ruckus Fiend's guys ( Sam you better be coming, ) so hopefully a lot of positive reactions are had by my car, it usually gets a few looks so hopefully this weekend is no different, been super keen on this show for agessssss!
Anyway, went for a bit of a slam around last night and needed fuel so I pulled into a servo, thought to myself 'nah, wont air out, thats a bit to show-boaty,' but as soon as I started fueling a S15 pulled in on chromies so large I was almost blinded by the reflection. Anyway, in typical S - chassis attitude they took one look at the high honda and was like.. eh. boring. so I finished fueling, slammed the car and got lower than their door sill's and they just stopped and stared as I walked into the servo. As I came out, they had their heads on the floor trying to work it out and they were completely baffled as to how it got so low so quick. Love it when everyone stares.
Anyway, chilling here typing and reading I absolutely LOVE the S|W feature articles, one day I want to be able to say I can get on one of those, like huge dream right there and I need a TON of work I know but hey, anythings possible with time. Though I must say this is one of my favourite articles - and its not even a build!
Anyway, not much else is happening. I'm going to keep the SSR's for now and widen them before moving onto rotiforms or something, but thats not a priority. This coming week im ripping out every nylon airline and all that nonsense from the car, hard lining (or starting to at least) the entire car with 6mm copper pipe and then creating a risen/false floor in the boot from pine stained a deep rosewood colour, its all coming along slowly slowly.
Here, have a photochop I have;
Anyway, I think we should all start a bit of a QLD S|W meet up and greet sometime? Sick of talking to drifters all day every day that cant appreciate the work thrown at my bag setup, where they rather fry tyres which is all good and what not, but would love to check out more stance scene orientated cars and meet the others in QLD that are fans of this way of life et cetera.
Anyway, missing my old car at the moment a lot! :'( good thing I have another one of these sitting in my garage in pieces..... mass plans for it also.
Bro, I totally came up to see you and you just drove off! Far out.
We are definitely doing a shoot soon.
I seem to remember you saying you'd sold your bags on my thread, which confused me because you were saying you we're doing hard lines at almost the same time. What's the deal there?

They were sold for a bit, then the dude pulled out. Hence the confusion. I was selling due to all these new laws, but cops can just get screwed and I want to become one of the cleaner and better known cars around Brisbane so in order to do that I have no kept the setup.
As I type this I'm sitting on my phone in my dark car boot where the wheel should be as a spare instead its completely stripped with the start of my floor going in, there will be some update here later tonight, it's hopefully going to be very cool at least get people to giggle and laugh.
Edit: sorry man! We're you standing just in front as we were leaving? Fuark I thought that was you but I didn't even realise until we were on the motorway and I just thought 'shiiiiittttt if that was him I would have seemed like a total dick,' sorry man! Didn't mean to seem like that or disrespectful at all, I just had no idea who anyone was and wasn't paying attention and if you didn't notice the group I was with aernt the most organised and tend to be hopeless at leaving event at a time. They all just instantly decide hence the rushed leave sorry man, when its running, I will bring the car down to you to check out the install in person if you want!
So as suggested by floatingdingo on here that I didn't say hi, I was at a car show on the weekend! Pretty big one, for any that are in AUS and know of them All Stars had their SE QLD show so I went and chilled there, awesome day, awesome cars, I wasnt anywhere near decent enough to be there and hence more motivation for this dam car build.
Anyway, I parked up, walked around with mates then decided that being my car wasnt good enough looking (and pretty dirty - having uni exams the night before left no time to get it clean and polished) we decided to just crush cans with my car, was good fun, got a huge crowd going and everyone loved it!
Anyway, heres a bit of a video of the day! My can crushing skills do make an appearance, small, but an appearance none the less!
I got busy yesterday, and for the millionth time pulled my car into many small pieces. So the garage I work at started looking like this;
And by the end of the day it was looking more of a mess like;
Well, stuff got done! slowly but surely. It is time for my boot floor to be completely wood with hard lines all around so I got to it. Will let pictures do the talking!
Also this is the stain I will be using! I was actually hoping it would have been a bit darker; but in the boot it should be dark enough... the wood had no prep and was shitty hence the grainy look, I just wanted to see the colour!
So I have only done the compressor side as I was mucking around and being lazy a lot of the time, but the drivers side will hopefully - after a bit more wiring tidy up - be done tomorrow! then start laying flooring tomorrow also.
Also I was told the other day my car wasnt ridiculous enough, so I added this for more ridiculousness;
And I added that as the dead switch for the compressor. I had one hidden under the dash, which was working fine, however when I got pulled over the other day by the cops I leaned under to switch it off (nothing was said as he didnt see) however I thought to myself if he was quicker and already walking towards the car he could get the wrong idea and guns be drawn and what not in the thought I was getting a weapon, so I thought I had better change it up - just to be safe!
And heres a brilliant mod; its not a car and its certainly not stanced, but I give to you the good old 'sock air filter' on a postie bike that parks just down from my house every day, lost my mind when I saw this ha, was so brilliant.
Anyway! I will start off with this awesome photo, almost my favourite ever of my car - thanks to UpperClass for the photo!
Apart from the dent in the door (which drives me insane) I like it.
anyway, onto a bit of todays efforts, got the cover on the air compressor all well and good;
everything there fits snug and perfect, however, I started laying the boot floor, got two down to acceptable standards and then the third plank, somehow I went from reading 995mm at the boot and then turned full retards and cut it at like... 875mm or something. anyway it turned out like a bag of asses as one can expect like
And anyway. chucked the sooks as I have only JUST enough wood to complete it and now that I ruined one whole plank I need more to finish, but the good news is I have enough to run my setup as everything fits!
And now I just need to stain the wood, get the copper lines and pressure gauge and a few other things. Re-painting the tank something different or just polishing it up, but polished might look out of place, so I will think of a paint scheme
Anyway, leave you guys with a photo from all stars! Lip to ground.
so after being an idiot in the afternoon and not being able to measure, got all that sorted and everything fitting semi-awesome. Being even worse at wood work than I am wiring, its never going to be a perfect install and for the fact that all the wood is bowed as I picked it up free off a mate, eh. I'm working with what I have, and this is where I am up to!
What I started with this arvo;
then onto:
which the rest looks like:
And then in the boot its like:
Now, the holes on the right are for the management system and like the oldschool beetles etc im going to get a couple oldschool looking belts to hold it down a bit more classy-ish.
